    Close Call

Well, Noel and Diarmand have more time to get to know each other and to get close. That is if Ronan doesn't decide to make his interruptions a habit.. So, someone (McGill) is very intent on throwing over the King. Trying to expose weakness in Diarmand, multiple attempts on his mate's life and now an attempt to taint blood samples. The seat of power must be very rewarding to take such risks. Also, very cool that Noel has developed a Spidey sense... Next please...
  4. CG, I love you but I'm going to have to disagree. I think this was a huge, step forward for David. Its no wonder the boy is confused and in denial. Enough kids go through that, and don't know where their feelings belong. With David we have the appearance, Tommy excluded, of a family that doesn't give a sh*t. Mom worships at the church of all that is evil, dad's been going along for the ride and the sister is invisible. I know you warned us SkinnyD, about David's POV, but still. With a little attention from Ginny, without provocation, he felt comfortable enough to lay his feelings bare. He's can't be that at home or he might be sent somewhere the pastor deems fit. There's fear there, so yes it will take time to get to a place where he is comfortable with who he is. I totally get where his head is at this moment. I think he has it in him to face this. How long before he takes the plunge is another matter.. Ginny at least cautioned Twoey. I think Twoey is going to be hurt waiting for David to maybe come around. He's just so happy David feels the same way I don't know how careful he's going to be, but he aims to fight. I trust Ginny to be a guiding force for those two. Going forward is not going to be easy that is true, but given the circumstances I expect it. I just wait for SkinnyD to lead us down that road.. Meanwhile, I'll be the one over there with the Pom poms, rooting for David.. Great chapter SkinnyD!

    Chapter 13

Is it foolish to wonder if Kel had rational thoughts given the state of his health. Because if so, and he was lucid enough to take his own life, his reasoning could have been to free Jenson from their prison. Maybe he didn't believe the drugs would get him any better than he was. He knew Jenson best, and knew he wouldn't move on if he was alive. Not that it's going to be any easier now. Ah, it's all conjecture on my part.. I like that talking to Merrick is easing his pain somehow. Merrick is smart too, giving him time while having him acknowledge their feelings. Knowing they're going no where, I wonder how much longer before the two combust. Audra and Jenson are pretty much in the same boat, albeit their circumstances are largely different. Another wonderful chapter Lit....
  6. In spite of him wanting to distance himself, Andy is growing closer to his little circle of friends. He's smiling and laughing, kind of being that kid he should be but on a much lower plane. He definitely can't let his guard down completely, but I'm guessing that even if it's subconsciously, the growing bond had something to do with him not hitting the road as planned. And even as the thought of moving on is in the forefront, he's thinking and doing things that's further in the future. Running with Kaz, should be interesting and informative. He will have to be careful not to give Kaz an opening.. Also, he splurged and bought Zander a really thoughtful gift. Can he just get himself a winter jacket too. I shiver every time he mentions that denim jacket, and if he does get locked out what then.. Nice chapter Parker...

    Celebration

Aww... That was lovely. They do deserve their privacy but maybe Ian especially, might feel inclined in the future, to let us know he's doing better than well. Maybe? It was all a wonderful experience SkinnyD. Thank you..
  8. Happy Birthday Robert! Have a great day!
  9. This was an awesome, awesome chapter SkinnyD. Turned everything I was thinking on its head, in the best and most surprising way ever. I can't fathom how David will proceed from here. David telling Twoey he loved him, and then the kiss! That was huge. All the best laid plans. We come back to the issue of his control. It's interesting how Twoey is his weakness he can't lie to him, he can't stop himself from saying what's in his heart.. He loses control with Twoey, ain't it funny what love can do. Lol. Is this a step forward, where he accepts what he's feeling or will he let outside forces or his own fears take him two steps back. I loved too, that he was just as honest with Ginny. He is going to need that stable and supporting relationship. If you hadn't guessed by now or I haven't said it enough.. I really love this story and the excellent way you're telling it!
  10. Holy, you know I hadn't considered the mailing of the report card. My school goes up to 6th grade and I guess we trust the kids we still just put it in their backpacks. Totally forgot high school is another animal.. So yeah, the lawyer will have questions.. Oh boy! Trying not to think too far, but I've lost my train of thought.. The party for Zander sounds like a disaster to Andy, but I bet it will turn out good. If he goes. You're going to let him go right... Good chapter Parker..
  11. Aww Gary... Even if the title says Rejoice, I feel the sadness, or maybe longing is a better word. To hold on to that time just a little longer. It's almost as if you're talking yourself into being okay, accepting the way things are. Then before you know it, in Already your time is up. I know you know it's okay to hate the way it is sometimes. It sucks eggs. These poems did great showing how you feel and getting it out.
  12. We are not perfect beings. There is such power in forgiveness, in choosing to love. It was Ghandi (I'm positive) who said that, and also forgiveness is an attribute to the strong. Which you are. I was moved by this one.. When you fire up those dumplings for Parker, I'll take an order of Gyoza, please and thank you. Lovely Tim..
  13. Very good Carlos.. Don't know how I missed seeing this.. I've enjoyed all three of these stories..
  14. That was absolutely hilarious. Even Larry tried to steal the show. It was also wonderfully romantic. James are Faris are so meant for each other and darn lucky too. That wedding was the best surprise. Surrounded by love of family and friends. Like Caz said, just the way it should be. Im always left with a smile, and a little bit light hearted when you write about these two. Great job Tim... Thank you!
  15. Of all the ways I imagined Andy and Zander's first conversation, this was definitely not it. It was brilliant though, because they get to spend time together. Slow and steady. This just may be my favorite chapter. Andy's making friends, Terry is maybe really cool and just determined. His grades are great, and that has to be a huge bolster. Mr K's apology, and then asking for Andy's forgiveness, that is huge. No wonder the universe shifted! My favorite line was, "He smiled, and the sun came out. My dark corner of the cafeteria lit up with it." I felt so good for Andy.. This was filled with such goodness. I loved every bit of it.. Thank you Parker... Have a very good Thanksgiving!
  16. Oh David.. Denial won't make those feelings go away, but I'm going to just guess David has some form of OCD. That's why running works for him, it's disciplined. Suddenly having an attraction to a boy throws a wrench in his plans. I could be wrong, but this need to order every part of his life is insane, and is compulsive. He broke down how everything should play out, even according to the actions of those around him. Nah, that's a bit much. He definitely needs to be talking to a psych and fast before he crumbles. Kathy, really. She's so not interested. Or maybe she's picking up on David and acting accordingly. But David's going to keep her. He's not gay, and he's certainly not thinking he might be bi. Lanni for now is a dream because of Twoey.. This is so messed up! At least Twoey is in a new room, and things are going ok for now. Still anticipating the visit.. Great at job as usual SkinnyD... Thank you.. Have a great Thanksgiving!
  17. So powerful, how you expressed the struggle you felt and I could sense how hard a time it was wrestling with those feelings. Glad that time is behind you Gary, and you are now free to be you.. xox

    Chapter 4

Oh hell. I feel for Jason. Pamchenko is intense and scary. Jason better tread carefully, he obviously cannot hide the truth from the man who knows all about him.. I loved this chapter, but I can wait while my nerves settle for the next..
  19. A very happy birthday to you Adi! Have a fantastic day!
  20. Another well done prompt.. In line with what Cia said, I loved that they talked through their problem. That was definitely refreshing. Can't wait to read more from you..

    Reality Bites

I hope now they finally realise its better to tell Noel about things that will affect him. Once he understands, he cooperates, and it gives him a chance to be in control of what happens to him somewhat. No one likes for their life to be arranged for them. Well, almost no one. The Steinway was a lovely gesture. Nice to see Noel's feeling bolder when it comes to Diarmond. I am looking forward to domesticated life. Although there is danger lurking..
  22. The exasperation in the beginning of Guilt, ends on a somewhat forgiving note. 'I won't abandon it or you.' Any leftover resentment is tempered in Falling. 'I cannot say no to you. ----- I fall back in love with you.' It's impossible not to feel or relate to the emotion layered in the two pieces. Great job Tim, as always.
  23. Twoey eating and walking, yay! Sitting to pee - good times! Brought back a fun memory of my cousin and we still tease him.. Of course Twoey has questions; burning a hole in his brain probably. But the answers could only be more confusing or lead to even more questions. It's all unraveling slowly. Well, Martin is a nice sidetrack for Matty. Maybe Matty keeps him? Erik's still adrift. Will we get in his head again soon? And David, worried about what to tell Twoey, not wanting to lie to him. Evading issues is his thing, so I can appreciate him not wanting to lie, and totally get why he would rather not visit. Nothing like hiding your head in the sand. He won't be able to stay away, he made promises. I can't wait to see how he deals. If Twoey even brings it up at all right now. Also, what's the story with the kid annoying David? Well done SkinnyD!
  24. Even though, I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop, I was very happy that Andy managed another two weeks. He is being successful in his classes too so that is so good for him. Unfortunate though, he had to sleep outdoors and in the barn. But hadn't that happened, he would've missed Zander. At least they're exchanging stunted hellos. He is trying to remain invisible and fighting this pull to Zander at the same time, poor guy. People seem to be drawn to him though, to want to be his friend. Obviously there is something about him, but as much as he may want to there's no way he's going to let anyone in just yet. Zander is feeling anxious about coming out to his friends, but I dare say it will go well. I look forward to how that goes as well as his and Andy's next meetings. Zander's parents were stellar. Great job Parker.
  25. Happy Birthday DrP! Hope it was wonderful!
