Why do I have the feeling we're about to see something you only see right after someone yells, "Watch this?"
I mean Olona just read what happens when a photonova gland is removed. How is shutting it off much different?
I agree, but Unadi is a male.
Ilya is always picking up strays. This is almost a repeat of Ninyani. See something odd in the distance, go to investigate, find someone in distress, and try to help.
Unadi's power is similar to Tahari's except he can't turn it off. As always, Ilya's first instinct is to help. Sucking the life out of everything around you would literally and figuratively suck. Eating, gathering, or growing fresh foods would be a huge challenge.
It's a wonder he hasn't gone mad and imagined himself the physical incarnation of the Angel of Death.
Battledore has a number of meanings. It can be a tool used to beat c lothes while washing them, a tool to flatten to bottom of glass vessels during making, or a long handled paddle to remove bread from an oven.
This isn't to diminish the poverty of the individuals on the res. Hopefully, the leaders can manage the revenues well to improve life there in the future.
Kosephaji has some severe confidence issues. Where would he be without the support of his two friends?
Duna lets the cat out of the bag on their stowaway and it wasn't a surprise to Ogomo. He didn't need his Shift Seer to know there was another.
I hope we learn Ogomo's backstory. How he became captain of this ship is no doubt a great story on its own.
Sometimes it is difficult to recall where a story left off after a long time has past, but there were enough threads here so I didn't need to go back and reread.
We got a revolving sketch of where our characters are at, some at their maniacal best.
I have the feeling Wren is trying to invoke whatever ritual made him his monster countless years ago.
The only ones we haven't seen anything of are Kalian's sister and parents.
I'm glad you finished this. BTW- You don't have to be gay to publish here.
While there are some coed prisons now, it's unlikely they would place a married couple in the same one. It is supposed to be prison after all. They would also only allow one on one visits, not two together.
But overall, well written and a good ending.
It should be noted not all Native Americans or their tribes are poor. Some are incredibly wealthy, with one distributing $84,000 a month to each member. And for what it's worth, the Navajo are among the ten richest out of the hundreds of tribes. (They are number two with a net worth of $2.5 billion)
The appearance of Eleanora/Lothar was a surprise. We knew why the man wanted him, but to parade him around so openly is truly rich.
Now we know Fran's backstory, he was badly served by all involved. No wonder his mind created the Fiend to shield him from the bloody vengeance which must come. This kingdom needs a judicious but ample application of wet work. Lothar will be busy.
So they might have had to use a wood stove to cook. I still don't see an issue with bringing their own food. It wouldn't be any different than a camping trip and Issac knew what to expect.
Highway names, like fame, can be fleeting. A former governor was traveling to our town with some friends. Before they arrived, he told them to pay attention to the highway signage and they'd see how highly thought of he was here. They did. The highway built during his tenure is now named to honor an actor.
