A whole lot of subliminal stuff going on .... that I’m sure they and others noticed, but Simon and Kitryn are as yet still clueless . Green looks good on the Kitty.
Captivating first chapter. As benevolent as Jon seems , allowing his wife however sick get away with actions like that is unforgivable ! I already like Veikko and Dominic. The juries out on Kevin though ... seems he needs to accept himself . Then again does Topher .
I’m with Birten, Elsior is editing the truth by omission. Possibly even the Prince was in the dark as to the true nature of his lover. Elsior seems quite the adept at survival ( for a city lad) gathering , distilling , building ! Quite the Jack of all trades!
Dizzy is a more sensitive than his nature allows one to see , he holds those he loves closely to him . He also doesn’t want people to judge his mother or him by his home. He was surprised that Artie’s background was even more humble.
Wonder what’s up with Katie ? At least Brady will have support close by if it’s something unpleasant . Justin should just bring Cam forth into the light... join the converted so to speak.
I agree with @BerryRedBear, something seems amiss about the peddler , at those prices , his carrying his wares willy-nilly in his pockets is suspicious ! Elan is possibly not as arrogant as he likes to portray , given his occasional need for solitude and sympathetic thoughts on the marketeers .
Quite the mysterious chapter! The pair would do well to guard themselves against the townspeople and Elsior . The Prince was acting noticeably out of character for a Royal. Birten is quick on the uptake, I hope Daegon appreciates it!
Building courage by going to a sex shop, gosh I’ve got to try that .... one day! Josh just cries out for one to empathise with him , though I’m not sure if I want to shake him or cringe with him. It’s a good thing O.G knows what he wants !
Simon has good reason for being pessimistic , but then again bring pessimistic allows for one to be pleasantly surprised when good things happen. Simon and Kitryn .... methinks Simon doth protest too much!
The boarding is possibly subdued , but I agree with @drpaladin, it feels a little too easy , but then again @Ciahas been stingy with the Captain and the crews full history. Be that as it may , the interrogation and the answers they get could have devastating ramifications . Possibly? So far along in the story ... so many questions .
Bradley’s reaction is not that unusual , clearly he’s in the relationship for the fun of it , funerals , deceased sisters , nephews who need a home , just don’t fit in with the plan. Adams well shot of him .... besides his ‘ breath smells like shit’ !
An enjoyable story. The emotions , reactions and dialogue highlight the touch and go moments of those first tentative steps after a significant meeting of two people .
Lovely , succinct read. Fits the headline perfectly . Hmm ... from whipping cream to ( brow) beating the crowd. Quite formidable ..... and he has the Law right beside him!
