Finally, Ben is going to "Stand by your man, show the world you love him..." gotta love Tammy Wynette Travis is being his usual eff it flippant self about the seriousness of everything and hopefully Katy will step up and stand up for her brother

Teddy needs to pull his head out of his ass and stand up for Ryder if he wants to keep him. Eff his "popularity". Why does he care so much what everyone thinks of him? He claims he likes Ryder but allows things like that to happen. I'm beginning to not like Teddy very much.

Carlos knows how vulnerable Daniel is...He knows that Daniel wouldn't be one to speak up if he wasn't enjoying something....I don't think Daniel would ever use his safe word even....Carlos doesn't want to push Daniel into something unless Daniel wants it. Daniel would the type of person who is easily convinced that they are where they want to be by their own choices even though they were totally manipulated and pushed in that direction. Carlos is letting Daniel determine the extent of their relationship but Daniel is reading it as disinterest.

We essentially said the same thing, semantics got in the way ...As far as length of chapters goes, I don't mind if some are longer than others. Sometimes more things happen all at once, and you always need a filler chapter or two to drop subtle plot introductions to be picked up later.

it's been so long since I've held an actual physical book in my hands and read it, it's not even funny. I read everything on my Kindle or my computer. kinda sad huh?

The exception to this would be an epilogue. An epilogue can sometimes be seen as a stand-alone story.

I think a chapter should be as long as it needs to be as long as everything contained in that chapter is all related. Some examples would be: events happening on the same day, things happening at one location (once the characters leave that location end the chapter since the action has ended) , an encounter between two or more characters (end the chapter when all characters leave the situation...Think of the chapter as a scene in a movie. Each new scene should be a new chapter.

But Ryder is about to explode on the music scene....everything is leading to that. When that happens, he'll have to leave Teddy behind.

It truly was....I think this scene showed just how much Michael needed Asher in his life. Thanks! I loved this story when I read it...I thought it deserved some recognition I almost chose the preceding scene, but felt this one showed how disheveled Michael was after he walked away from Asher.- 4 comments

Park might be a tad bit paranoid, but on the other hand, Ritch is acting a bit flippant. Hopefully they'll find a balance soon. Maybe once Park gives Ritch the right kind of meat everything will be okay. -

My pleasure! I've spent enough time with these characters, I almost view them as my own. @Aceinthehole and I have spent a lot of time discussing them and where they're ultimately going...He's got a good vision and takes my suggestions and tweaks them to work in the direction he wants these characters to go.

Ummm Riley would be the one dealing with the PTSD *if that's the case* due to the death of his parents. Teddy's parents are alive and well at his house.

I'm glad you're enjoying the story. As far as Texas Courts go, we're talking about southeast Texas in an area where the closest big city is Houston and it's 90 miles away. .There are some good ol' boys running around down there. But, it's also one of the few blue counties in Texas (Austin area and the Valley being the others). But which trumps which? The good ol' boy side or the liberal side. (Hint:the only reason it's a blue area is because of the refineries down there. The unions run the refineries, unions are very liberal and politely threaten you I'm mean suggest that you vote democrat).
