Was only planing a prologue, 6 chapters, and an epilogue. I like Devin, Brandon, and Shad'ler, but I have Aeris, William, Chad, Eros, Garric, who needs a little TLC too. -

Thank you, Sam. Gonna write about 3 more chapters, and going to focus on them. So, more will be out soon. -
I rewrote the prologue. Did some clean up on it, along with some minor expansion.

Thank you for reading! I was hoping that I portrayed the family bonding, and that they were starting to come together. I'm hoping I did it justice. Yes, Devin has a few things to look out for. Hopefully he'll be smart enough to heed warning. -
It was Sunday, April 2nd, 2017, and Devin was bored. Both the Doctor and Healer wanted him to stay for observation, and he was stuck in an underground hospital room. After he had awakened from his conversation with the avatar of Mithras – a very confusing affair– he met his father for the first time. They barely had time for introductions before his father and brother were run out of the room so the High Priest, a doctor, and a healer could have a private talk and exam. During this, he learn

Thank you, tim. I'll take you up on that offer.

No, you are not the only one. After, I read one comment, I went back to read over my stories to spot if some of the comments were from certain people, because I thought I was the target of that post. I believe tim said it best: Amen, Brother. Like you told me last night. "Rules are made to be broken." And that to look for creative ways to express stuff.

Well, as I mentioned earlier I like details. I've actually stopped reading stories, some here on GA, when there is no detail. Example: Billy Bob, and Joe Blow were walking in a park. "So what do you want to do today?" Bob asked. "I don't know..." Jow replied. *I the reader hits the back button, and rate the story 1 star for lack of detail* What sort of park was it? Are there other people around? What did it look like? Paint the picture. Tell, don't show.

True story. Tolkien's friends used to hate hearing him talk about his book. Because in real life, he was as bad as Gandalf.
-
Opposite actually. I hate Tolkien with a passion man. Love the genre he is credited for starting, but his writing is extremely dry in my opinion. I've literally used the LotR trilogy as a cure for insomnia on my really bad nights. There has to be a balance in the details, and descriptions. Make it to where I can picture the place, that you the author is telling me about, but I don't need a play-by-play on how many ants infest an ant hill, three miles north, of the rock we just sat on, to eat lunch.

I'm the opposite of people here. Infodumps are alright. Tell, don't show. I want details. Give me descriptions. The more the better.

I found this poem to be both visually inspiring, and emotional as well. Seeing the light through the leaves, and feeling a sense of wanting to be a part of it. Loved it, tim. Loved it.

Thank you. I'm happy you enjoyed it.

*hugs* You're not letting me down. We all have demons, and stuff, we have to fight, each in our own way. Hang in there man, we'll be here when you need us.

Fantastic Chapter, Mac. I loved your use of second person P.O.V., it's bringing the story to life, in my opinion, in more than one way. Also, it is teaching us what a D/s relationship is really like. Love it.

Chapter 1: Origin and Odyssey
Brayon commented on Brayon's story chapter in Chapter 1: Origin and Odyssey
Thank you, tim for reading. I was hoping the P.O.V. change, wasn't that harsh. I felt that First Person would be great for Log entries, while Third Person for everything else, would be a good mix. Though, I think I need to make the distinction a bit clearer. -

Sorry man. I have insomnia, and I passed out shortly after responding last night. PM in route in a few. -

Thank you for reading, and for the compliment. To tell the truth, I actually shortened the chapter. I agree it felt it was getting info heavy. I'd be happy to use you, if your willing to read my SciFi fanfic. Thank you again. -
The year is 2410 and Starfleet are under siege. After the Hobus star went supernova and destroyed the Romulan Homeworld, the Alpha and Beta Quadrant's have been in turmoil. The Romulans have splintered into two factions, with the Romulan Republic becoming a neutral power. The Klingon Empire declared war and expanded their territory in the vacuum left when the Romulans fractured. Now a new threat has emerged from the Borg and the Iconians. Commander Garric, the lone member of Species 8501 in the Federation has been selected to lead a mission. His goal, to find a way to end the Borg and Iconian conflicts, before they grow worse.

Personal Log: Commander Garric, Captain of the U.S.S. Colorado – Terran Date: February 1, 2410 – Location: In Route to Earth I’ve been recalled back to Starfleet headquarters, and the worse part, I don’t know why. The last time I was recalled by to Earth Spacedock, I was given command of a Miranda-Class light escort, called the U.S.S. Atlantis, and then was sent to patrol the front lines in the ongoing Klingon war. You’d think with all the other issues going on, the Klingons would lay do

I feel that this is the crux of the issue. While GA hosts some ebooks for sale in it's store, the vast majority of stories posted here, are not fully published works. They are not ebooks, or printed material. Our stories are crafted by writers, who are mostly non-professionals, who love to write, and do so in our spare time. We may or may not, be as polished as a professional, and some stories may go on to become ebooks or prints. In my opinion GA is not Goodreads, nor is it Barnes-n-Nobles, or Boarders, or B. Dalton's, or Waldenbook's, or Amazon, or Books-a-Million, or the Ma and Pa Used Book Store down the street. We're different, more a social site dedicate to those that like to write or read stories based on GLBT characters in a wide variety of scenarios. A place that is inclusive to those that like our type of stories.
