Really, really thought provoking. in my Spanish school 2010 civics exam yr 6 qn tell something you have learned during my course? One answer stays with me: that illegal immigrants are humans too.

    Story

Since I went to Oxford I have every intention of ignoring this also minister of health who smokes and is seriously overweight. As she says, “I’m no role model” - especially as far as our beloved coma goes!! finally, I’m really enjoying your work. I’m off work with a broken hand and you guys are keeping me sane. Cheers

    Chapter 49

A pretty raunchy chp. Wish I had their energy!!
  4. For the me only debate is about the method for terminating Z**h. The Tower of London has some good instruments to try on him

    Story

Aditus,,,,,, amusingly,,,,,,,,, the new deputy prime minister has forbidden the “Oxford comma” in documents. This is a custom, widely accepted, of adding a comma in a list before the final “and”. In what world is she living? Obviously she didn’t go to the number one university in the world! Ok I’m biased. 😉
  8. Fascinating. One comment about possibilities- when I lived in UK I was a “wet Tory”. When I came to Spain the nearest equivalent was the post Communist left! There is a great series on Netflix about what life could be like with a new terrible dictatorship, The Wall. this short story captures a fear which all democrats should have. If we do nothing then we are to blame. thought-provoking. Well done!

    September 2050

Ummm, not usually a fan of anything with a science fiction or future label but being determined to read every entry I dived in and wow. What a great gem. Wonderful imagination and such tension. Well done
  10. Worth six stars, frankly.. I have read little of this author - except for her exchanges with mrs m which are worthy of being serialised- but what I have read is confirmed in this very challenging story. Kbois is extremely gifted, writes exquisitely and in this tale forces her readers to face their own ignorance and even intolerance. An important story with which to celebrate 20 years of GA.

    Chapter 1

Yes, my reaction was pretty much the same. We are all in a learning process and as someone who sees themself as male, 100% homosexual, I have found myself in a learning curve as some students have declared themselves to be non-binary, pan sexual etc. sadly, the straight world and press are now generally tolerant of gay and lesbian but the rest of the community is a challenge.

    Chapter 1

A beautifully-written but heart rendering story. Congratulations

    Reunion

After 4 yrs away, I visited the un and spent four days with my oldest school friend, sat on his terrace overlooking the Atlantic and remembered, relived the highs and lows of 50 yrs friendship, of lost friends, friends lost to AIDS, our school friend HIV+ for 35 years - a real survivor. Such moments validate life. thank you mr V, again you have got me thinking.

    Story

The cake is to die for! And the candles for me would me 65+62+ 23rd anniversary = 150! a lovely tale , thanks
  18. The great thing about anthologies is that IF you take them seriously and read tales whose genre isn’t your usual taste then it can be a real pleasure. This story of Wyatt and Virgil is a great example. It is beautifully written, delicately paced, and rich in character. Don’t worry if you are not a western fan, this is a universal tale of discovery. Excellent
  19. A really lovely, hopeful tale. 🤗

    Chapter 66

Hi. Just rewatched a programme on Charles’ eco garden in Highgrove House. I think his pioneering work (ridiculed by so many) will be carried on by many others. If we forget the soap opera dramas this man is a great figure for the environment and it’s protection.

    Chapter 66

Many thanks for your in memoriam, Mark. I’m almost 65 and have just heard the words “God Save the King” only it’s not Granger’s officers but real life. What a great scene with the stupid envoy. As Oscar Wilde said, “sometimes it is not only a pleasure to speak one’s mind but also a duty!” I can feel this journey drawing to a close. Yarmouth isn’t so far away…. Unless a tropical storm hits the North Sea to keep Granger waiting, thanks you so much, Mark 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩

    Chapter 47

So agree with centexhairysub (I so love the name!), okay it is possible that Z**h was nicer today. Can it last, though. Yes, I have a soft spot as well for Alaister - perhaps he will be Harvard bound, ummm as ever, thank you Mark as I enjoy a day off. Kids started back to school yesterday and today it’s a holiday in the town. Only in Spain….

    Chapter 46

    A really thought-provoking analysis. Thanks. 🤗

    Chapter 46

I’ve decided that a heroic death is no longer an option for Z**h. He needs to be disposed of, pain an optional extra… 👿👿👿👿👿👿
