Great comments. I can remember being interrogated by my sister on behalf of my mother….. 😱in the middle of a lunch party for 14 and I had dropped a huge dish of mashed potatoes on the floor and screamed for my sister to help. As we secretly scooped up what could be saved, she began the questioning…. 🤨 -
Another great story in the making, once again. A delight to read how this relationship which “starts in the middle” pans out….

He is a master at this. It comes across in all of @Robert Hugill’s stories. That and the so-British art of self-deprecation which he does so, so well. It makes me feel as if I’m back home in uk.

Hi, can someone explain the significance of 4/20, please. another, slightly emotionally hyper chp. There is so much going on right now. BTW the Brad cameos are priceless, like a British actress Dame coming on the screen for a few minutes and stealing the Oscar (eg Dame Judi Dench). a great Sunday morning treat here in Europe (09.00 CET). THANK YOU MARK. BTW. I got a civil partnership registered yesterday. I’m a married man! 👨

Totally agree with your interpretation of the story. The fact that there are pages of debate building up after each chp is a credit to @Arch Hunter who is pulling out a great story, with really good pacing and that captures the awful adolescent gay paranoia which I can still remember with horror many years later! This is a v enjoyable tale. Thank you AH.

Another episode comes to a successful conclusion. These deceive (+family) investigations are v enjoyable. My only “criticism” is that the individual stories are not double the length to allow for more development and depth. But,hey, they are short and very sweet as they are. well done, Chris

What has been feared through a number of books has now arrived. A simple summer cruise in the waters off Weymouth is turning into a nightmare. I can’t see either Granger or St Vicent compromising on this…….. truly original stuff, Mark. Thank you!!!!- 44 comments

I suspect that younger generations might never even have heard of Gilbert and Sullivan. I will ask my great nieces! Personally, for light musical entertainment it’s got to be Wagner….
