Wow. A lot happened in this Chapter. It's kind of wonderful. Pulling a horse trailer with a Ford Escape is possible, but is really pushing it - its probably not the best choice for a horse ranch. I can tell you are a Ford guy and that's cool. I read riding lessons some time ago and only recently discovered the numerous additions....

Chapter 1: The Last Day of a New Beginning
GanymedeRex commented on StevieVRoyal's story chapter in Chapter 1: The Last Day of a New Beginning
I see this is the author's first Chapter on GA. It's a nice start with a strong main character introduction - there are already several possible dynamics in play be the end of the first day of school. This could be interesting... -
Very interesting chapter and plot developments. Mr. Alvarez isn't too smart about going to Spain for oncology treatment - it's not the best place for hospitals. Both places where I think this story is set (Not sure) are near one of the best cancer hospitals in the world. Well, at least that is a useful mechanism to get Mattie living on the ranch and that's what is important. Looking forward to reading more. Great stuff.

this chapter is so gay! but I guess that is the point in the first place. its been fun. I see lots of stories where people say they love each other after knowing each other for two days or a similar interval. Do people really do that??

You got it - this is a very nice description of increased intracranial pressure. As a physician, I'm impressed. This is what they look like when the go bad and have to see the neurosurgeon. I'm pleased with the hospitals vigilance (I've seen this picked up later than it should be). Good for you Nicola!

It's wonderful to revisit the world of Jay and Miles (one of my favorite stories on GA). Thanks and Glædelig Jul.

Chapter 10 - Not alone
GanymedeRex commented on albertnothlit's story chapter in Chapter 10 - Not alone
You are making progress, Albert! I'm very pleased to see this (see the contents of my first comment to you 'you are not alone'. It was great to see you've written those words. Christmas is a difficult time for many and increased depression is noted now due to expectations of the holiday and the winter solstice (seasonal affective disorder). Remember that depression is highly coincident with anxiety disorder and that depression is a mood disorder AND a THOUGH disorder. I see it in many of your posts run on and relentless thinking (a lot of brooding). I do the same when I get depressed. You are making progress! I do think it is a good time to try fiction, perhaps a character with depression? YOU ARE NOT ALONE Have a blessed Christmas. I will continue praying for you (You are on our church's prayer list as "Albert" and have been for weeks) I'm going to Jerusalem on a pilgrimage this Thursday. I will put a prayer for you into the western wall. -
Drew is a pretty good depiction of a security guy with a military background. He's smart and making inferences - these guys don't have a sense of humor and have a certain mindset - which I believe the author captures perfectly.

These are grade AAA space opera. Lots of fun and thanks!

why do you post these as separate stories rather than one story with multiple chapters?
-
This was cool and fun. Ultraviolet security clearance? Hilarious.
-
Yeah, you wouldn't want to be with someone like me. That's cool. I do like that there is something like this dynamic in the story. I also think you're cool, droughtquake.

Interesting question. There's a lot of guys like Jeff, and me, who have traditional family lives. My wife knows about me and I've been faithful. I do feel kind of if not discriminated against but at least disapproved of by others for what they believe gay or bi is and whatever rules they put on it. Some of us live by different rules. For me, raising a large family with a father and mother was more important to me than other considerations. I love my wife. I did view gay things as fun just like Jeff. I know that guys like me usually end up as villains on logo movies. Clearly Jeff is in that camp or maybe something similar. Woody obviously does not approve. I think ronyx bringing the issue up in this story is a great thing! I am worried about the trouble this boys could be in for. Lots of tension in this excellent story.

Chapter 6 - Why mornings hurt so bad
GanymedeRex commented on albertnothlit's story chapter in Chapter 6 - Why mornings hurt so bad
Thanks for your continued sharing, Albert. I'm glad you are sharing - remember that you are not alone. Remember that anxiety and depression are twin sisters and that it will take a long time to recover fully. See goodness and pleasure in little things. Look for the tiniest victories and treasure them. That's my advice I've been were you are now and know how much it sucks. You are going to have to climb out of that pit a step at a time. Remember that God loves you and is holding you up more than you think at the moment. I'm glad you are processing through your traumatic event as well. I think your exposition is improving in recent chapters. I'm standing by for the next one. Don't stop reaching out. -
As a medical doctor, I can share that Altimexis got the medical part of this just right. Great job. I'm so used to reading medically impossible things or storylines where doctor's sedate patients for getting too emotional. (I've never done that even once!).

This was very enjoyable and positive. I left 38 chapters behind with good feelings. Thanks for writing this. Did not see Andy/Andrew coming - cool.

It's become very clear to me by this point that I attended the wrong high school!

I'm so enjoying this story. Its not more of the same old new transfer gets bullied stuff. It shows the joyful parts of being a teen and how teens play with each other. So glad I happened upon this. Well written story and dialogue.

Probably not. Recent immigrant Greeks often like the same few names : dimi, nico, alexis, milo and for some reason George. You'll find a couple folks with these names at almost every Greek diner. Comicality's description of Deme sure is mighty compelling!
