What I don't get is the kid needed medical attention and way it was described the hospital didn't do anything because they could not find next of Kin. Surely they could have done something he could have died in the bed while doing this BS administrative stuff.And even after they spoke to the judge there was no communication with the staff the nurse Brad encountered was clueless. I hope there are not too many hospitals like that.BTW as an aside hospitals at this moment are at full capacity because of Co-vid which means cases like this may not get adequate care because hospitals are overwhelmed.

I was thinking the same thing @Wesley8890 was thinking.Through all these comas and alternate universes in previous stories I lost track maybe Dylan and Sebastian are alive again.BTW Happy New Year I hope your shoulder is getting better

Because of Murray and O'Shea other members of the force will do their best to have Sanctuary's back they got another life long fan of that one policeman who watches out for those two kids and when you add Brad's dad being the judge then word should get around among the bad guys to steer clear of this place.It doesn't mean of course that there still may be somebody to try to cause trouble.So glad the kids were able to enjoy the show.Don't forget about the kid who has to meet his Dad one half hour after the show.

Something @Chris L said made think of something.Most if not all the kids are there voluntarily so they can go out an do stuff during the day if they want.If something should happen to them outside of Sanctuary is Brad liable for anything?Something else I never considered In my many years I've never seen a Bus Wash although its obvious they would exist.Not long ago I took a road trip with a roommate and for the first time I saw a service station that offered showers for truck drivers although I didn't notice anything there must have been a truck wash there also.

Another great chapter totally appropriate that this should be the first story chapter I read to bring in the new year.Is this story going to cover the next Christmas?I'm curious what Brad's plans are for that.Maybe because none of the kids have met him maybe Brad's Dad could be Santa Clause.Happy New Year to you and all the readers

Heinrich was everything I expected too bad.No vacation for his wife is pretty selfish. There were no details of this festival Gus being a Pianist and the kids taking lessons you would think this is a classical music festival your not going to throw us a curve and have this be a headbangers festival are you? I don't know the law and I don't think this is going to happen but theoretically could Rick bring Willy up on charges?When Heinrich finds out about Rick and then if he finds out about what Willy did I can see him blaming Willy for Rick being gay and then he might want have Willy be charged. Happy New Year everyone.

I binged read this the other day and now I caught up.I like the story.I don't know if anybody mentioned this Liam seemed to have no idea about causing Dylan's scar he knew about the other stuff he did to Dylan but not that.I'm thinking did Liam have a alcohol blackout in that particular incident?If he did then Dylan now might be able to relate having seen how his behavior changed after getting drunk for the first time.(It didn't take too many drinks did it?)Another less likely possibility is Liam has a brain tumor.

@Anton_Cloche mentioned sports fields.The picture in my head is this is a downtown type area so I guess that would depend on how big the properties are.To have a building with a pool and gym might work maybe a half court basketball area.I'd like to know what happened to Marvin

Brad's Mom got a nice surprise a grandson. There has to be a easier way to get 180 of the same kind of shoes then to go to every shoe shop in the city.

When Brad making plans for his life after he graduated high school I bet this was the farest thing from his mind.It's been said when you make plans God laughs if it is something like this keep laughing.Maybe Brad could have the kids help design what the uniform should look like.

Brad mentioned last chapter that Pat might take over some day well he certainly took charge when they got the kids on the bus didn't he.He referred to Brad as the driver.Brad calling Bubba his son was cool.While I believe it was the right thing to do I wonder how brad taking the 44 kids works out legally?I'm worried about some government flunky complaining about juristriction.

I hope Murray and O'Shea find the place.Except for seeing a helpless street kid seeing a helpless dog breaks my heart the most(even a cat for that matter I don't really like cats but I do feed a stray that always shows up on my back patio)I think the dog will be a big hit at sanctuary.

Glad that they got tickets to the Lion king those are not cheap.This could be used as an enticement to get non street kids to help plus the free eats and maybe service hours that some school districts use.

Now that there is going to be some big lawsuit Sancuary may not being flying under the radar anymore publicly.If one of those horrible parents come to try to claim their kid what's going to happen?I'm thinking of runaways where the parent can deny any wrong doing.

Thank you for a magical Christmas story. Believe it or not I read this in one sitting(I know I'm nuts) it sure didn't seem like 41,636 words.You might ask come on when was the last time you read 41,636 words in one sitting? OK you got me there it was more like 40,702 words.BTW I think I know where you got Tralfaz from I won't say yet I'm curious if other readers know.Looking forward to seeing Charlie and Co. in July.I hope those one of those projects you mentioned is another one of your stories .Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah to you and all your readers.
