  1. I have seen movies on TV when they showed the exact same over again after already showing it. First time this had happened while reading a story lol.Hey cool it was a good scene and still a great chapter.I still think Jalen will "forget" about his car.
  2. I have just binged read the last three chapters and am about to read chapter 4 that just got put up.I don't know if Coach Ted is going to cross the line yet or not but if he doesn't here's what I predict Jalen leaves and then comes back saying 'DARN my car got towed I guess I have to stay the night".Going to read the next chapter now to see if I'm right.

    Chapter 5

When I think of kids on the street I think of parents kicking kids out or an abusive situation the kid is trying to get away from I have to confess I didn't think of siblings who don't want to be separated. Really there should be a way for CPS to make sure siblings don't get separated

    Chapter 4

Pat and the other boy and girl was worried about Brad's intentions it's the first thing that comes to mind to these kids if someone tries to help. The most important stuff is at the place already .Is there room for ping pong tables or a small gym that kind of stuff?

    Chapter 3

Once everything is done how they go about getting the kids?In the other stories they went out and got them so I guess that's how they'll do it here at least at first .

    Chapter 2

I'm curious about possible red tape by the local authorities. The church charity I mentioned in my last chapter comment has sometimes been hassled by the local park department believe it or not for giving food to the homeless like they have nothing better to do.I'm sure Brad is very smart and I would guess he 's speaking to lawyers about possible hurdles as he proceeds

    Chapter 1

We don't have a name yet for our hero.Glad dad is helping out.We have a program at my church where I volunteer to help where once a month we go to local parks and distribute bags of canned and nonperishable food plus a few toiletries to the homeless we get it from Costco werehouse we make about 100 bags. One weekend a month all the masses six of them contribute to our group called caritas.I find the congregation to be very generous. I would love to see a church (the right kind)get involved in something like what's happening in this story.

    Chapter 4

Tim must have been 18 when he was kicked out of his house because I saw no paperwork issues when he moved in Paul house and enrolled in high school because high schools want parental information when someone new enrolls.Tim calling Paul's mom 'Mom" was especially touching and when she said to Brad 'Welcome to the family" that said it all.Another great story

    Chapter 3

I love Omelets but I have to say I never heard of omelets in a wrap.is that a similar concept to a breakfast burrito? If Tim can make them that well then Paul and his mom are the real winners here lol
  10. weinerdog

    Chapter 2

Paul's mom said "Wait till his friends find out he's home" I don't know if you plan on I don't know if you plan on them appearing in you story but if they do Tim could observe and realize that it might not be so bad.In addition to Paul's family helping him out it could also be good for Paul's mom to have Tim around after Paul goes back to school
  11. I've had people tell me variations of stories about seeing a loved one who passed like Hunter saw Jaime you know what I believe them.Looking forward to seeing the guys next chapter

    Chapter 1

Sorry for the reaction I gave This does look like a start of a good story. But every time I read about something like this in a story and know that this actually happens IRL it just gets to me.I said this before but I would want to hear their answer to the question "Is this what Jesus wants you to do?"

    Chapter 1

Very nice story.A couple of questions You never gave an age for Toby so I'm guessing13-16.I think you may have left out a sentence when Toby was crying on the park bench then hears "Why are you crying,my child?" At first you did not identify the man was he the guy who was running the diner? I thought the use of the old man, the boy etc reminded me of ghost of Christmas past, present etc. very good.Thank you

    Chapter 2

You did say this was a short story. We all heard the expression "Short and Sweet"Well this was short but also definitely sweet.I had to notice when Tony was speaking to Chet he said "Mom and Dad" like they were his Mom and Dad so that showed that made a impression on each other.Thank you for a nice story

    Chapter 1

A few times I have picked up people stuck in a rain storm one time it was a kid another time it was an elderly gentleman. One time in the middle of the night on a freeway interstate I picked up a lady who's car broke down.I found out while I was taking her home that she was recent Jamaican immigrant here but she was still plenty skeptical she said"You only picked me up because Im a women didn't you" I replied I picked you up because you were in trouble but it did get me thinking if the person was a rough looking character maybe I wouldn't have. Ok back to the story When Tony told Chet why he was hitching it makes me want to ask these so called Christians in there anything in the Bible that suggests Jesus would kick someone out? Liking the story

    Chapter 3

I'm not crying really I'm not crying.Andrew and Susan being overcome with emotion with the first gifts they opened was touching I guess they hadn't gotten anything for Christmas for a while.Just one other observation I know when they were living at the old house they had modest means but even our flawed health care system should have been able to provide Dave with a wheelchair instead of them having to use a office chair.Thank you for a wonderful story

    Andante

'"Take a Chance on Me "would be perfect for Rick. But for Rita?I think "SOS" or "Waterloo" would be more appropriate.

    Chapter 2

Dave already got his Christmas gift with Chad and Troy taking the kids.Since Father James brought the lawyer over I'm guessing he's Episcopalian.I will say some of the younger Catholic priests take the position they would rather kids be placed with a loving gay couple then a loveless home the old guard still balks a little but Pope Francis seems to be ok with a situation like Chad and Troy.I don't know when you will have Dave die but I hope it's not on Christmas or new year's

    Andante

Nice move by Rick maybe he can get them to go to the fireworks then drive them home.Rita geez can you say manipulator?I bet some here would say worse. One small complaint sounds like nobody got anything for Vincent poor dog.I do have one worry that incident that happened to Rick as a teenager that was July 4th also right?I hope nothing triggers that memory while he's with Gus.
  20. This was very well written Mike may not have been a homophobe but he was uncomfortable with the topic and he did not know how to act around Andy at first. But when he saw what happened at the mall and saw how devastated Andy was Mike was the loving big brother again and when push came to shove that didn't change.Andy had to do some growing up the hard way but at the same time so did Mike.Im glad Andy was able to find someone else quick and is able to talk with Mike about it and more so Mike being happy for him.
  21. Yeah it was important stuff that was left out.But you know something it was a good chapter even with that missing. That shows how good a writer you are.

    Chapter 1

I believe Father James knew what he was doing when he asked Troy and Chad to have Andrew and Susan over for Christmas. The way you described Andrew I bet they made up their mind to adopt as soon as they met.

    Salvation

I wrote a review about another one of this authors stories called A Boy At The Lake. What I wrote in that one applies to this one even more so and pretty much everyone of his stories. So why am I writing this review you may ask.Just to say that this story may be his very best story he's ever written.I have no doubt there are going to be many good stories still to come from Mr. Lobe but he may not ever top this one. Please take the time to read this .Highly recommended

    Chapter 58

I think there are people like him but not with the same means. We need a Warren Buffett type to do this
