People like this exist now, and unfortunately will in the future, both IRL and in your story. I think it's because they want a poorly educated population to control. Almost all dictators and cult leaders cut off legitimate communication with enlightened people. Free speech and education are the antidote.

Sam was only ever going to get the money if the rescue was closed. The only way Martina gets any money is through the rescue, so she needs it to stay open. Bad publicity does her no good. Sam getting killed has only bad effects on Martina. The only slim possibility that she is involved would be accidentally catching Sam in the act of letting the animals loose. But, if Rory is to be believed, Sam called off the plan. Someone had something to gain by Sam being dead.

I am looking forward to Akama’s birthplace and the beginnings of the nanofactories, which make the offworld habitats possible. Jarra is the reason they exist. I’m also interested in the beginnings of the enhanced dolphins. I have no doubt Jarra and Mirri are involved.

I hundred percent thought Frank was involved, I suspected maybe Rory. Even though she came forward, I still have no respect for someone who was willing to sacrifice the wolves, panthers, and possible human deaths for 80 grand. Bitch, just pay your loans off like me and everyone else! There was an incident in Columbus in which the owner of a “rescue” released all his animals. Many big cats were killed. Sorry @Summerabbacat I don’t think Martina killed Sam. She had nothing to gain and everything to lose. Bring on the storm!

I love that Yirgella and Jarara realize and acknowledge that Mirri is as special as Jarra, just in different ways.

I wish the healthbots from Attunga were invented at this time. But I suspect that without Jarra, a lot of innovations would have been delayed. He is a remarkable young man.

We know from the intro page that Axel is kidnapped to treat Jeha, who is suffering from a gunshot wound. It seems certain that Moon is involved. I love the development of characters and plot that you write so well! This is going to be exciting!

Some of us had to go back to work!!! I loved the happiness this chapter exuded! Elijah is finally able to think about Kage and be happy, instead of so much sadness. Not sure if some of the Krew are over him though.

Mirri is just about the sweetest boy ever! He is so pure in his emotions. In Attunga, we learned that Wirren was derived from a select genetic source. I'm now wondering if that source was Jarra.

Both boys are thriving with each other. Obviously Jarra is intellectually gifted, but he is blossoming with improved environmental conditions.

Australia, Costa Rica, and the Galapagos Islands are tops on my bucket list.

Another reader commented on how well the boys compliment each other, I couldn't agree more. I was a bit taken aback by the big greeting by so many family members. It attests to the love and commitment Mirri's family has for him. I have high hopes that this new doctor may be able to help Jarra. My impression is that Jarra and his dad are not well-off, and the many changes in doctors were due to overwhelmed public healthcare.

This is part romance/part adventure. Our two young men both love nature, but have different ways of looking at the world. They come together through necessity and choice in this short but exciting tale.

Oh, I can already tell I'm going to like this! I'm already attached to Mirri and Jarra. I'm wondering if we will meet a very young Akama? I remember him being over a 100, but I don't know about 120. I have read several Australian authors, and I tend to Google unfamiliar locations and words, so I'm fairly familiar with Australian geography. But, usually it's the coastal cities featured, not dissimilar to the US. Central Australia will be new to me, as a US Midwesterner I appreciate living in the middle. I discovered the title to this is the Arrernte word for where they live.

It's good to see Andre and Chris rubbing off on each other. Andre is pulling Chris into a more social and up to date existence, and Chris is exposing Andre to living as a full adult not in the care of his old-fashioned parents. Although he still is, of course. I wonder what is up with that? This new Jaime/Michael twist sounds like it will be very interesting!

I think it's the lack of consequences. If you open up to friends, family, and coworkers, there are repercussions and fallout. That kind of behavior is, of course, very nonHazday-like! His openness with his opinions was legendary and admirable.

I loved this little nugget of Hazdayness. It's interesting how we sometimes have such candid conversations with complete strangers precisely because they are strangers. I enjoyed the suggestions of CJ and co. as shifters, there is no doubt which one is the alpha!
