What hoho said. As soon as I read the the new kid had red hair, I knew there was some sort of connection to the horse. I must admit that if I’d seen Shifter or Werefolk as one of the tags, I’d have skipped the story. It was a beautiful story even if it’s not the kind I’d have chosen to read. If safety is a codeword for ‘no guns,’ Australia might be a possibility. But the native fauna is more dangerous there.

Annoying site software. I had to force the page to reload about four or five times before it would let me comment. It didn’t even want me to Like the story at first, and then it tried to tell me I didn’t have permission because it didn’t redraw the Like properly. Well now Declan is finally seeing just what athletic feats Bailey is capable of doing! ;-) …And I think that Bailey’s mom was in a good mood because she got some.

You know, I thought you’d written about another Adrian before! I just couldn’t remember which story it was! ;-)

Tonight’s theme is 17. The first selection is Being 17. The second is the Edge of 17 (1998). A bonus movie is The Edge of 17 (2016), a Lesbian movie that has had very good reviews.

Male Standards of Beauty Around the World
Former Member replied to methodwriter85's topic in The Lounge
Well, none of the guys were ugly, but none were to my taste either. Maybe if one of Timmy’s Scandinavians was included? I think man buns are one of the stupidest looks ever. I’m not a huge fan of long hair in general – Fabio-types just look silly. I’m also not a fan of facial or body hair. All those lazy guys who ‘forget’ to shave for a few days or months do nothing for me. I have no tattoos. People who have them will live to regret them. I’ve seen a few guys with interesting tattoos, but I wouldn’t want to be with them. They just look like they forgot to use soap when they took their last shower. A clean-shaven Chris Evans is more my type. A nice, clean-cut guy who doesn’t take himself too seriously. -
A Diamond in the Rough
Former Member commented on comicfan's story chapter in A Diamond in the Rough
While I certainly wouldn’t claim to be as smart as Chris, I can really identify with his boredom with school. Teachers mostly ignored me because I didn’t cause problems for them. They weren’t particularly concerned that I wasn’t paying attention to them because I always passed their tests even if I never studied. I might have done better if I had been given more challenges and more freedom to explore my own interests. A lot of what I’ve read and learned about after I got out of school was information I would have benefited from while I was still in school. Because of the way I’ve done my own explorations, I have huge gaps in knowledge. Having a mentor guiding me would have minimized those gaps and strengthened the links between the things I did learn. So, my biggest mistake was not being born into a very wealthy family? ;-) -
The devil woman is the perfect description. (But so many financial secrets.)

Yes, but I’d still rather read more about Joel & Lucas! ;-)

Lovely!

I think it’s more spiny shell… nothing sweet about him at all! ;-)

How should I feel?
Former Member commented on JayT's blog entry in Randomnicity (aka Jay's thoughts)
@JayT. Sweetheart don't fear. We all grieve in our own time, and so there is no need for you to justify it to anyone. Personally, I believe in celebration of life ceremonies. I no longer attend funerals, and I don't do graveyards. Does this make me a bad person? I refuse to waste thousands of dollars to be planted, and my family has agreed to honor my wishes. I have already signed forms to have my body donated to the University of Pittsburgh. (I don't think they'll use it for much, probably just cut the sucker up,) LOL When I go into eternal sleep, my family will have a party to celebrate my life, and hopefully move on. I give my sincerest condolences for your loss. Keep your chin up. -
How should I feel?

Calm down. There is nothing wrong about how you react. Give yourself time and space. Nobody can foresee how anyone will react to a loss like this and nobody should judge. Your emotions only belong to you. If someone is judging you, just try to not let it too deep into yourself. It is probably, because he or she fells to miserable to understand, that you are behaving the way, which is right for you and absolutely OK. -
Oh how I miss Mr. Cocker. He was one of the best 'Blue Eyed Soul' singers of all time. Nice one W-L!

Yay! Michael has a Guardian Angel! ;-) But we’re still over-due for a real update on Patrick, Peter, and Michael, not just the review of what we already knew! And we’re also waiting to read if someone, maybe male, will get shot with at least a light blue arrow along with Rob. We’ve already seen Rob get shot with a few white arrows. I think it’s time for an Angie/Imp crossover with Rob & Company. Maybe you can start planning a 2018 April Fool’s Joke and Rob & Jazz can get shot with purple arrows and we can all find out what that means! (At your current pace, that might be the next time you post!) ;-)

I’ve had coworkers like that, although I don’t think they were having problems like that at home. But I can be pretty oblivious at times… ;-)

Not my type of story, I only read this because you wrote it. It was interesting and well written. I didn’t realize the characters were from previous stories.

I remember Toad Hall on the corner of 18th & Castro, Harvey’s is in that prime location now. I’m a non-drinker, non-smoker and those were the days before smoking was banned in California bars, restaurants, and most other public venues. With the exception of Oakland’s White Horse Inn, I usually only went into bars when I was doing volunteer work. But I wasn’t even a teenager yet when this story takes place. I hadn’t really started listening to music (other than what my parents chose – in other words, religious music). And I was still living in the then-conservative and very homophobic Navy town, San Diego.

For tonight’s selection, I have two movies I enjoyed. They’re both set at least partially in Southern California. The Trip (2002) involves Tommy and Alan and their periodic connections over the course of a decade and a half. The second movie is Latter Days.

The part of the city this was we were looking Colin said was rundown and the people there were often little better than common criminals from prostitutes and drug dealers. The part of the city where we were looking, Colin said, was rundown… from prostitutes to drug dealers. Then I watched in horror as Colin used the sharp glass and ran it deep and down the little vampire’s corroded arteries on both sides of his neck. Carotid. He pointed to where the wild vampires had been kept they were allowed to see. Either delete the last five words, or place them after ‘vampires.’ A child is supposed to make want to take care of them. There’s a missing word between make and want. I got Colin’s reference and smiled as Stan looked like Colin and spoken Chinese! Had spoken. I understand the way and what. The why and what. I want a 3D scanner to go with my I-want-a-3D-printer. I’ll take a couple of those giant screens too – are they 3D too?

@Dark Thank you as always for your hard work in pulling these together, but especially for the glowing, amazingly wonderful bio you gave me here! It's so wonderful, you really touch me, I have to say. If you want it, here's a major kiss from me MUAH! @Mikiesboy See, I would not even remember me asking you about department stores unless you mentioned it. I don't know, what can I say other than I'm weird Thanks to Renee for posting these and keeping us all on the rails.

For something completely different, very fast paced, and colorful, try Metrosexuality.

Well, they both seemed to really enjoy their oral explorations. I still can’t understand a trajectory that leads from here to the first chapter of the story. Very puzzling.
