    Getting an MBA, even at a top school, has more in common with undergrad programs than most graduate degrees. At Chicago (my MBA is from there too) you take your 21 courses and get your diploma--no thesis or dissertation, no comprehensive exams. If I recall correctly, Matt majored in economics at Stanford and got decent grades. That's a highly ranked program, and along with interning at the family companies and leading the hockey team, should set him up to do well at Chicago.

    You left out Method's choice, Chicago, which ranks with Harvard/Stanford/Sloan/Wharton but at that point would have been a little easier to get into. And if I remember right, Stef went there, so Matt might be considered a legacy admission.

    It's probably Fermat's Last Theorem that W_L was thinking of. But it's also good to remember that the Pythagorean Theorem proof depends on the axioms you start with. In some non-Euclidean geometries it doesn't hold. One of my favorite courses as a math major was Structure of the Real Number System where we started with the Peano Axioms and by the end of the term could show that 1+1 = 2.

    People assume when someone says they're "not gay" that they're straight. But Tom says he never said explicitly that he was straight. I think he's coming out as "undecided".

    In Illinois, even after taking the course, a teen needs to put in quite a few hours with a licensed driver in the car and turn in the log before taking the road test. My wife always left that duty to me.

    The drivers for the kids in the family seem to be as much for security as transportation. How much solo driving around is JJ going to be allowed to do? And he strikes me as someone who might prefer being driven to driving himself.

    I'd agree with Kitt on this one--I see Stefan (and JJ following him) as someone more likely to go to small shops with high-end designer merchandise. Maybe a department store if it provides private personal shopping for things that you wouldn't see out on the floor. I can't see them just going to a mall unless there are no other options.
