Long Day is one of my first stories and follows Jake Tull who suffers from aphasia - which manifests in his being restricted to, mostly, repeating recorded words like song lyric. An all time favorite of mine.

When confronted with his family’s bigotry, Reece is faced with the first of many choices. He can continue to tolerate the caustic atmosphere or he can walk away and finally focus on making himself happy. His cousin’s friend Dave unintentionally becomes the catalyst that forces Reece to make a choice. He can only hope it's the right one.

Fifteen-year-old Tyler Webb doesn't come from a very accepting background, but his bisexuality has never caused him any problems. With no previous crushes on other boys, his secret seems safe and irrelevant. It all changes on an otherwise regular day at school. Can he deal with his newfound sexual attraction and the expectations of his family and friends?

This story is about Ryan, a very straightforward boy that goes on vacation with his mother. He then sees a pompous family getting on the same flight as him. He hates those rich families, especially the kids who never had to do anything in their lives. But, could certain circumstances change his opinion about that family? Peter is a sweet highschool teen, who seems to have all the friends to keep up the appearances and avoid the bullying, but he's actually very lonely (I know how it feels) but that's about to change.

Henry has made it to university, but without Ed. Instead he finds himself in a first-year house share in Cranwell with Eddie Peacher, Andy’s problem brother, and the nervous Gavin. Between them, they find themselves combating the appalling Frank Hutchinson, landlord of the King's Cross, and unearth a mystery of the ages, to solve which is death.

Two twin boys, and gay. How to tell this story is simple but complicated. Devon a boy of 16 struggling with difficulties of a home life. Josh a boy of the same age, that has everything he wants, but one thing, his brother. Both are struggling with their past and maybe present. Hopefully they find each other. Together they might overcome, what is to come.

Justin Peacher-White has it all, a partner, lifestyle and job to die for. But as a street kid he put it about a bit, and now finds he has a small son. Justin determines on finding the boy, and is far more successful than he and Nathan are quite ready to cope with. For Damien Macavoy is no ordinary child.

Jimbo is serving his final year as a counselor at Camp Falls. He has just graduated from high school and will enter University in the fall. Everything is going smoothly until a troop arrives without a Scout Master. Jimbo is assigned to the role and meets Mason, a scout having his first experience at Camp Falls. The frisson between the two leads to a them entering a partnership. The challenges of Scout Camp, their parents and larger forces shape who they are as a couple.

If life was there for the taking, then it might look a lot like Kay Walker’s life. A good family with liberal and accepting attitudes, doing impressively well at college both on and off the field, a big circle of friends, and a promising future.

Of course, there are a couple of problems with this picture. Firstly, it wouldn’t make a very interesting story. And secondly, perhaps more importantly, it’s not quite true. Or at least, it’s not the whole picture.
