I have been thinking back on my life since I lost Charlie, my first true love. The last 10 years have been good to me, now that Michael Earl Hendricks [Mike] my life partner has been part of my life. The Lazy L is raising Prime Black Angus cattle, and some of the finest blue ribbon quarter horses in Wyoming. There have been many twists and turns in our lives, we have a couple of new additions and some new ideas for things to come.

NOVEL. In Shifting Sands, time has advanced one and a half years. Drew Reichardt and his partner Bob Harrington have kept busy working at the luxurious Barcelona Resort and Casino while forming a family unit that includes young Cray Gamble. Spike, Lou Jr., and Mario all return in this continuing tale that takes place in a recessionary Entertainment Capital of the World. And Jack Gamble becomes a featured character as events unfold. Book 3 of the Vegas trilogy.

NOVEL. Young Cray flees from his hostile home in Utah and heads south to Las Vegas. Through meeting a few mentoring adults, he is able to survive, find a new home and start school. His adult friends are in the swirl of this gambling epi-center. Book 2 of the Vegas trilogy.

Millennium is the tenth story in the CAP Saga. Brad is the narrator, and takes us from 1999 into 2000. Many of the characters in this story were introduced in “Chronicles of an Academic Predator,” “1968,” “The Land Whore,” “Be Rad,” “Man in Motion,” “A Summer Love,” “If It Fits,” “Bloodlines,” and “The Box.” You don't have to read them before this story, but it will give you a deeper insight into those characters and their pasts.

Bloodlines is the eighth story in the CAP saga. It starts in 1998, and introduces a new character, Matt Carrswold. Matt is from a wealthy family in Shaker Heights, is a hockey player, and an excellent student. His world is about to be turned upside down.

"Man in Motion," follows Be Rad and begins in 1985. To most Americans, 1985 was about the second Reagan term and the economic boom that was following the stagnant 70's. The culture was wrapped up in materialism, so it's no wonder that Madonna's "Material Girl" was popular then. Then there is this parallel culture, the gay culture, reeling from the onslaught of AIDS.

The story continues (from "Chronicles of an Academic Predator" and "1968") with a new narrator, Stefan, and a new era. This story is set in 1973-74, a period of history that is noted for events such as the Yom Kippur War, the Arab Oil Embargo, and Watergate. More than in past stories, economics are a big issue here, due to increasing inflation and an extended bear stock market.
