No one ever said love couldn’t fall between the cracks. Two people meet by random chance online, and then in person. These fifty poems document the arc of a love affair from first contact to the budding of deep, mutual intimacy. However, one of them is not able to handle the feelings the other raises in him.

For as long as he can remember, Ronnie Nolan has loved superheroes. He’s inspired by their feats of heroism, and still has a sense of awe every time he sees one spring into action. After a violent event awakens abilities in Ronnie, he’s given the opportunity to join the Syndicate of Heroes, the organization he has always admired.

Taran Webber grew up superhero royalty, and saving the world is in his DNA. He strives every day to be stronger, faster, and better than before. He’s committed to the cause at the expense of having a life, but at what cost?

As I push my boundaries, I learn more about this type of writing. My comfort level increases and hopefully my skill improves. Unlike writing larger stories where the canvas I paint on is vast, there is a beauty in writing poetry and telling a story or drawing an images in a few words.

Times of environmental disaster, political upheaval and endless wars . . . . 1816 is relevant to the world we find ourselves navigating today. Antonin Carême, the world’s greatest celebrity chef — with his rockstar salary and good looks — heads to an open-ended engagement at the Prince Regent’s seaside home. What, though, are his true motivations for going? What about all the deaths and attempted killings unfolding at the Pavilion while he’s there? Who is this mysterious doctor who draws him into the investigations?

As life moves on we remember times both good and bad. For Kyle, Jacob and the others, memories from the past are a bounty of the defining moments in their lives.

The following is a series of moments, past and present that help guide their steps towards the future.

The Squire’s Tale is the final episode in Tales Along the Way, a trilogy of stories told by three business men traveling together on a long-haul flight. As the title suggests, this is a tale about a young gay man who is drawn into a dangerous adventure and an international intrigue. This is a admittedly a complex story, with 25 scenes spread over nine chapters. The story moves between two continents, such that simultaneous events have to be described more than once from different points of view. There is also a flashback chapter, which is clearly identified. I hope I have made it clear enough where and when each scene takes place.

The insecure Honey comes across his mate during a sporadic outing with his cousin. What's an Omega to do when his mate doesn't want him? A young man enters the confessional. He tells Father Peter Ruxton that he is gay, in love, and filled with self-loathing because the Church teaches that what he is doing is a sin. The priest, who struggles with his own sexuality, tries to offer counsel that shows compassion and empathy, while remaining within the strictures of his Church’s position on homosexual behavior. It does not end well. The young man leaves filled with bitterness, and Peter faces the reality that he must leave the Church if he is to be true to himself. He begins his search to find himself and his authentic life.
