Where Charles Wentworth is now, I do not know. I thought he was dead. It took decades to get over the heartbreak of his disappearance. When Charlie goes to the family home he discovers the boy and been beaten, whipped, raped, and one of his arms is broken. Charlie takes the boy into his home and all hell is loosed on his life.

In the dark future, an unlikely trio in a rundown metropolis are set on a path of unexpected heroism through horrifying trials. For Agrell, Dozi, and Ilya, the harrowing events bring growth through sacrifice and redemption. However, bizarre rituals and arcane arts are commonplace in the world of "The Mantis Variant," and tragedy and death are always close at hand.

**Warning: Anger ahead**

Wayne Benson is an engineer in the small town of Rosewood, Kentucky in the year 1993. Odd things begin to happen that eventually propel him and others into a fight for their lives. This story is told purely from his perspective through his journal entries.

I occasionally try my hand at writing haiku. I'm not claiming that any of it is really all that good. And some haiku purists might even claim that I don't always follow the rules of haiku correctly. Indeed some of my attempts could be more correctly classified as senryu, rather than haiku.

Be all that as it may, I shall add my individual attempts over the next while. Some have been written many years ago. Others will be more recent.

As the occasional offering may be somewhat dark in nature, I shall give the collection a rating of Mature. I will give individual chapter warnings where necessary
