It is Halloween night when all sorts of monsters prowl and come out from their shadows. Jules is a gay bookish 14-year-old boy, who enjoys reading and watching horror more than pretending to be a monster. He is forced to attend a Halloween party by his boyfriend, Mark. Something horrifying is about to occur.

Everything in Emmett urges him to run away from Finley, who radiates danger. Fin tries rather unsuccessfully to run away from himself, with nowhere holding him for long. But Emmett's bright smile and strange blue-violet eyes intrigue him more than a little. Now if he only knew what exactly Emmett actually is, he might be able to deal with his strange-behaving dragon-side.
