Sergeant Rov'haert Ni'sugah, a talented soldier of The Core, wakes up in a strange desert planet after having crashed. He keeps on having the feeling that someone is watching. It has almost been a year since the world ended. The majority of the population died, came back as mindless and highly aggressive creatures and killed most of the rest. Cody is one of the last survivors. He is small, sensitive, innocent and about to starve to death. While he is desperately trying to find food, he gets attacked and then saved at the last second by Troy, who is a hardened brute. Cody hates him, but knows he is probably his only chance to survive the winter, so he sticks with him.

This story is about Ryan, a very straightforward boy that goes on vacation with his mother. He then sees a pompous family getting on the same flight as him. He hates those rich families, especially the kids who never had to do anything in their lives. But, could certain circumstances change his opinion about that family? A small fishing village on the North West corner of the US lies a fishing boat, the Scuffy. It lies at the wharf across from a friendly tavern, called The Wharf, which is a hangout for the captains of the fishing boats. One boat is different as it is manned by a very young crew.

Being the oldest and growing up in a large family can be hard, especially when you are gay and the family is extremely homophobic. You are constantly being compared to your deceased father. A man whose stature and deeds are always increasing, as time goes by, and are held up as your goals. Anytime you reach those goals, your mother moves the goalpost further away.

You never seem to measure up. You are always being told that you are worthless and will never amount to anything since you cannot measure up to your father. It never mattered that you were a straight "A" student and that you were an athlete.

Neither the old gods nor their younger helpmates have been able to stop the coming collapse of civilization. Something more is needed. An ark, a refuge, a place where hurt, abused, abandoned, and thrown-away children can feel safe ... maybe, be safe. This is a sequel to "Nemesis" and "Protector of Children."

This is the first story in the series entitled, "Wearing Green on Thursday." It is the first part of the fictional autobiography of Bruce Hutton, a gay man in his late forties.

In this story, we meet Bruce, who is a championship swimmer, and learn of his struggles with his sexuality. We are introduced to his best friend, Craig, with whom Bruce will have the pleasure of exploring gay sex.
