Gone From Daylight - Stories

This "Gone From Daylight" spinoff tells the story of a former Hunter and associate of the vampire Elders who simply wanted to disappear and get away from the sinister plans that his particular agency had in store for those in his area. But when a family tragedy brings him back home...the very people that he was hiding from come to find him once again. However, they may be in for more than they bargained for this time. The hunter known as 'Flatline' isn't going back to their agenda without a fight!

In modern times, with the vampire population growing to massive numbers in the Chicago area, a program had to be set up in order to take care of the carnage left behind and continue the cover up that vampires actually exist. This is Gus Showalski's first night on the job. Is he ready to believe? Of has he gotten himself into a situation that he REALLY wasn't prepared for?

I want to let everyone know that this story ties into chapters of the original "Gone From Daylight" storyline! There are spoilers within if you haven't read it yet!

This spinoff gives us a dark look at the mysterious Vampire Elders of Chicago. When a new threat arrives in darkness, possibly bringing madness and death along with it, the Elders must get to together to discuss an effective plan of action to deal with it. But will cooler heads prevail and can a peaceful solution be achieved? Or will fear and corruption lead them to a much deadlier option? The clock is ticking, and tough choices must be made before it's too late!

But when a boy from the resistance gets rescued by a team of cybernetically enhanced soldiers...where will things go from there? Maybe it takes someone who has walked in both worlds to create an understanding between them.

While involving himself in an investigation of illegal activity on the internet, a detective uncovers something that he finds both baffling and sinister in nature! Hidden files on a computer draw him in to a world that he may not understand or be prepared for. What, exactly, is going on here? And can he get to the bottom of this new mystery, or will the efforts to keep it secret ruin him in the process? Read and find out!

A vampire teacher with advanced knowledge of the vampire scriptures and what their significance is in darkness is suddenly partnered up with a young newblood who has an extra that allows him to decode ancient texts at will. However...when the Elders find out about this ability, they target the boy for execution! What are they hiding? And can the teacher help him figure out the hidden message before the Elders find them and eliminate the threat?

This was an experiment from some years ago to be a 'round robin' story, where different authors stepped up to add their own creative flair for each chapter. However, seeing as that's no longer the plan, I'm rebooting the series so I can take it to completion myself! It's a "GFD" spinoff that I really thought needed to be told. I hope you guys like it!
