Timmy's Journal - 8. Where There Are No Words

Sometimes there are no words.
I found my perfection and it moved me to tears.
I could only write this about that moment ...

This isn't really a poem. It is a reaction to something I read today. It moved me, the power of the words moved me, to a place where there just were no words.

Where There Are No Words

Sometimes, only sometimes you find something,
Or someone, that is perfection.
It will be a word, or a story or a phrase or vista
That moves you, to a place where words have no value –
No meaning or use. Where the beauty there, brings tears
You cannot explain, nor can you stop. For there is just
nothing else we have to offer in the face of it.

I hope you find yours.

Thank you Drew. To be honest, it's not really a poem. It's a reaction to something I read and it's beauty was beyond, my words anyway. Tears just won't stop.. it's been like an hour. But that's what this is.. thanks as always for reading and for the review.

Hey Tim
I got you message loud and clear. When that happens, there is a wonderful moment of all encompassing 'wow'. I have read real life stories that have touched me like this, but now I am reminded of a story I read a story on GA in March 2014. It touched me deeply and left me sitting in stunned, but thrilled, silence.

Words did eventually come to me and I wrote my first ever GA review.
Thanks for bringing back that memory of awe and wow and magic all rolled into one
As always, well done and thank you for sharing your words with us. :)

Lovely Tim!
It's only happened to me once (with a person)
I enjoyed your poetic description, as it brought back that memory quite vividly.

Hi Reader, I wrote a review but there was so much love in the word choice in this piece, it was so beautifully crafted, it was actually the writing, the actual work that got me. The story itself is amazing but the art of writing was so evident.. it just blew me away... anyway, thank you for your review.

Thanks for this, Tim. I had that experience several times - once quite recently - and have since wondered and pondered about it. No words at all, and you're left trying feebly to describe what you feel, what you think... You capture it well.

Thanks Parker. I did review the piece, as well as I could. But felt I to say more and frankly while I wasn't bawling, the tears didn't stop for some time. It was such a strange physical reaction for me anyway. Thanks for your review, my friend.

This is beautifully well written. When I first read it, I thought immediately about this scene from the movie Amadeus. Thank you for adding this...
