Moggy's Mutterings - 36. Words

Broken ribs, heal.
Collapsed lungs, re-inflate.
Dislocated shoulders, realign.
Sprain wrist and ankles, mend.
Facial swelling, bruising, fade.
Just like a river cuts through rocks,
and washes everything away,

Words will cut and maim your very soul.

when i was abused, i preferred the physical. the verbal assaults lasted longer and hurt more

thanks RJ. you are so right. the shame last for a long time. it can jump and punch you at at odd moments, especially during medical stuff when you have to explain the  x-rays
