When I read an inspiring story like this one, I'm reminded of my favorite quote, "Why be normal when you can be yourself?"  Unfortunately, too many of us are neither normal nor ourselves.  It's always delightful to read about someone who has broken those chains.

Stories like this one of Monica add to the pride I feel as a gay man.  I am sure there are many more wonderful stories of people in the LBGT+ community that are just as inspiriting.  I hope to see more of these great stories.  Stories of hope and happiness are refreshing and rejuvenating in dark times like the present.
