Incandescence 3. Light Dancing in the Dark

   (1 review)
Genres: Romance
Sub-genres: Romantic Fantasy

Everything had wrapped up the way he wanted. The country had attained peace. The people were prospering, the country was prospering, and personally Kalian was thriving. Things were perfect and he was...bored. He hadn't wanted a life of violence but now thrust into a life a bureaucracy, he found he wasn't happy either. He soon finds himself wishing for a break from the monotony.

He should know by now that you should be careful what you wish for.

As is normal for this universe, there will be explicit content, violence, and gore. I will mark each at the beginning of the chapters where they are applicable.

I think of all the books in this series - Awaken (1), Stoke (2) - this third one Incandescence, is my favourite.

Not just because the world building, plotlines, characters/characterisations, scenarios and overall awesomeness of the previous two arcs are continued seamlessly & most excellently but because in this installment we get to see our boys (and others) in an entirely new - older, wiser, more mature & settled but still chomping at the bit - light.

I'm all for the falling in love, obliterating obstacles, riding off into the hea sunset storyline but what really does it for me in a big way - after everything else has been taken care of obviously - is the settled in a relationship and just living life one day at a time kind of carry-on. Which this arc brings to the table most delightfully.

In addition to which, more! epic! battle! scenes!

Yeah, I'm a sucker for fight scenes that make me feel not only like I was there, but that I am in dire need of a shower and possibly a visit to the healer... And boy, does Demiurge deliver. That and a whole hell of a lot more.

Tell you what though, don't take my word for it - click the first chapter and see for yourself.

If you don't absolutely love this story with the power of a thousand suns, rest assured, we *can* take it to the ring. But don't worry too much because you will.

Guaranteed.

Disclaimer: not a money-or-anything-else-back guarantee - for obvious reasons, just a this-is-a-seriously-well-told-good-story-and-it-will-grab-you-lovingly-by-the-balls-if-you-let-it guarantee. 'k? Good.
