GA's Newest Promising Author: Mawgrim

Please join myself and the Author Promotion Team in congratulating @Mawgrim in becoming GA's newest Promising Author. Mawgrim has only been a member at GA for less than two years, but in that time he has posted over 700,000 words across twenty-three stories. While many of his stories are fan-fics set in Anne McCaffrey's world of Pern, he also writes in other genres including his current intriguing mystery Hidden Secrets. His most recently completed and popular Pern story, Empty, Open, Dust

March CSR Discussion Day: Ridley by Krista

Who enjoyed reading Ridley by Krista? If you did, please make sure you share your thoughts on the story in the comments below. In the meantime, enjoy the interview with her below!  If you were an animal, what would you be? – I used to be into nature documentaries, until I found out they were mostly stock footage with a fake story/narration based on loose science. I’ve always liked Leopards though; they are beautiful and female leopards are one of the more elegant animals in nature. I k

Weekly Wrap Up (Mar. 20 - Mar. 26)

So what can I do to make the Weekly Wrap Up different this week?  I could ask someone else to do it  Or, I can throw everything in the blender and see what it comes out as   So no usual Sun to Mon this week and in order, lets see what happens. Also, tonight I will be watching one of the greatest rivalries in sports, not basketball , not baseball not football (either kind) , but the coolest sport on earth, ice hockey The rivalry is between the Edmonton Oilers *spit* and the Calgary Flames *Y

How's your March coming along, like a lion or a lamb? I don't know about you, but sometimes this time of year, it feels like the weather is shifting back and forth, coming and going... maybe just like the characters were coming and going in each other's lives in the anthology entry by Bill W that I'm featuring this month. Did you read A Friendship Lost and Found? If you haven't, now's your chance!  Length: 12,029 Description: Tristan Rader and Gavin Munson met as four-year-olds a

Well it appears that there is a lot of US Senators that seem to partake in GA Authors, and read the Weekly Wrap Up  Why you ask? After last weeks highly controversial wrap up where I asked everyone's opinion of Daylight Savings and Standard Time, it appears the US Senate were closely watching the discussion and decided to vote for year round Day Light Savings Time  The majority here I believe wanted to scrap it, and that is what they did. Cia won't be happy as the better time is to stay on Stand

March CSR Feature: Ridley by Krista

Welcome to March's CSR! I've decided to feature a short-novel length story that's bound to create a connection for many of us to those youthful teen days which resonated with the many readers who read, commented, and reviewed Ridley by Krista. I hope you will enjoy the story if you haven't read it yet and will come back on the discussion day to help encourage Krista to write part two... if she isn't already. Hmm... maybe a question for the interview? Ridley by @Krista Length: 33,4

Weekly Wrap Up (Feb. 27 - Mar. 5)

Well howdy ho good neighbours   So let me start off to say that all the blogs and comments from some of the Northern Hemisphere peeps stating that spring is starting to show up or it's coming... STOP  In my neck of the woods March and April I believe are our heaviest snowfall months of the years. Get a huge dump, melts off a few days later, huge dump, melts off a few days later, repeat. I sure we sell more windshield (windscreen  ) washer fluid than most places in the next two months.

Ask An Author 3.0 #14

I'm not sure about everyone else, but the weather in Kentucky's starting to warm up a bit. Well, at least for the moment. The chilly breezes were welcome for a short while, but I've had enough snow and ice. I'm ready for summer! Bring out the swimwear and IPAs! But you know what else we need? The March edition of Ask An Author! I'm all smiles with this month's featured author, although he might hunt me down after this introduction. One of GA's Signature Authors, Big Daddy @Carlos Hazday! 2016 Secret Admirer Contest - Revisited

In 2016, thirteen stories written for the Secret Admirer Contest posted in time for Valentine’s Day. The stories were very different; some made readers cry and others made them laugh. One year later, a story review was posted for Valentine's Day to remind readers of all those wonderful tales. Since this month's blog review falls on Valentine's Day itself, we decided to repeat the Special Review. But in addition, we would like to ask you to tell us which love story on GA is your favorite and

Wow, what a week it has been for me   First I was back to work. I did not take up the offers of my peers to get a shotgun in my face or get pushed over Niagara Falls  Actually I had a pretty good week doing nothing  I'm all for that  So this week I did all the things that I put off all week last week: laundry, bills, cleaning, trying to pick out new flooring. Whew, you're lucky I'm not in bed catching up on my sleep since I'm so tired  Or maybe you wish I was in bed   First week of the
