I still have nightmares...lol

I woke up this morning in a panic from a nightmare, and I had to actually turn my light on to make sure I was in my room. It was the same nightmare I've had about 5 or 6 times now....

We're living in California again and Im locked out of our house for some reason, but the phone is ringing and Im desperate to get in because I know it's my real mom calling, but I can't open the door. When I finally get inside, the phone has stopped ringing and I've missed the call. So I go around the corner and find my grandparents in their old house and I try to get them to call her for me but they say that she doesn't want to see me anymore because she's mad at me.

Everytime I have this dream I have to catch my breath from it when I wake up, almost like I can't breathe when Im having it. Then, just like this morning, I can't go back to sleep. So, anyway, I guess it's silly to sit here and write about it, but I know Im going to feel bad about it all day, even if I try to forget it because I can never seem to get it off of my mind.

Besides that, I posted chapter 41. I don't think it's that good, but someone told me that it flowed with the story, which is good :) Anyway, if you happen to read it, don't forget to leave a comment for me. I better go get in the shower right now or my dads gonna flip because he thinks Im going to make him late

Heya Nick!

Don't be embarrassed about having bad dream and nightmares. We all have them from time to time. Usually it's a way for our brain to try to process the imput we give it.

Actually, your dream sounds like that you want to get to your mum but you feel totally helpless about it. Sounds natural to me, considering all the stuff you are going through.

Actually, it's the wise thing to do. When you talk about what is bothering you and you listen to yourself, you can start to make sense of it all.

Bev's Right, Nick. Writing/talking/thinking about your dreams (and feelings) is a great way to make peace with them and ultimately feel better. Lately it seems I can't remember my dreams at all. Yesterday I was on campus and got so sleepy I took a nap in my truck, lol. And I know I was having a pleasent dream that I wanted to remember, but darnit if AS SOON as I woke up I'd forgotten the whole thing. Anyway I hope you feel better, and let us know if you want to talk about it. Take care

NJ,

I don't pretend to know what to say other than I'd like to give you a big hug.

I started writing because I've got my own "demons" and the more I write about them, the less power they have.

It's funny how that works.

Thanks Bev......I just get mad at myself sometimes because I feel like Im dwelling on the fact that I want something to happen that I know never will. Anyway, I feel better now and I think you're right, writing about it and getting it off of my chest is a pretty good way to make sense of it all

lol......actually, I forget about 99% of my dreams too, but it seems like the really weird ones and the really bad ones are the ones that stay with me. Thanks for leaving a comment on my latest chapter, by the way.....have a good day

Awww...here's a  back....sometimes I think about what you had to go through when you were my age, and I thank God everyday for my dad and my family. I wouldn't like it at all if I had to go through what you did. But just in case you didn't know it, you are an AWESOME person, James....as a matter of fact, here's another
