I'm very sorry for your loss, addy. When my father died, I wasn't very close to him. I didn't know what to say or what to feel. I disagreed with so much about him, the way he did things, the way he was. Since then I've thought about him a lot and I've come to understand him so much better. It just makes me sad that I didn't have that understanding while he was still alive. I still miss him.

We all experience grief in our own unique way. All I can say is my thoughts are with you
