Fudge Packers Union on Strike!

No more fudge will be packed until a new contract is signed between the International Brotherhood of Fudge Packers and the Fudge Syndicate.

Spokesmen for the Fudge Syndicate say that this couldn't have come at a worse time. Valentine's Day accounts for 25% of the annual consumption of fudge. Negotiations are onging but niether side is hopeful.

The Fudge Syndicate is taking a hard line. Their cheif negotiater said, "What the damned Fudge Packers have to realize that they are a dime a doze. If they don't want to pack our fudge, we can get literally anyone to do it."

The Union counters saying that "Fudge packing is a delicate job. It has to be done gently and carefully. You can't just jam it in there. You need professionals that know how to do it right."

The Fudge Packer Strike is already a week old and shows no signs of ending quickly. Scab Fudge Packers have been hired and there have already been clashes as scabs cross the picket lines.

Congressman Frank(D, MA), a friend of the Fudge Packers Union, says that this strike has the potential to get very ugly. He said, "Just think of all that fudge that is just sitting there that is not being professionally packed."
