These boys are genious !

But everything is going too well  ....

As usual, each nice story has its bad side. Tom, the hero, should be prepared to fight the evil...

I wonder what will come.

I agree with Benji, nice chapter, springtime between two storms.

Ready to read more, but take your time :D

I can't really say a whole lot, but I will say this, had Gaddis checked the files before he left, I don't think he would have been as surprised when he met this group.

Fasten you seat belts and hang on. I'm off to work on chapter 12.

Chapter 5 of Twilight is posted at Awesomedude!

B) ............

I think James has set us up with a too easy pace, leaving us comfortable in the story. I fear that this plane landing is going to cause problems for the boys. Might be prophetic when Tom chuckled and said, "Bring on the Ice Age. I always did like that saber-toothed squirrel."

Everything is too rosey so far, another nice chapter James!!!!

Great chapter, I think worse is to come and it's gonna be germ warfare.

That's already started.

Here's a teaser posted by James:

The beauty of Eagle Rock made it easy to forget the chaos in the outside world. The boys were sitting on the sun porch watching the sunset in the West. The warm west wind was blowing across a hillside of Lupines bearing their sweet honey like scent.

Bobby pointed to the South-West and asked, "What is that?"

Just over the horizon a flash was blooming getting brighter and brighter until it rivaled the setting sun.

Tom said, "Don't look at it! Get inside."

As he looked over his shoulder and saw a huge mushroom cloud rising over the horizon...

Just got to read Chapters 4 and 5. So far, so very good! As usual, the verisimilitude--and historical background--grounds the fiction firmly. There's a good dose of relevant social commentary that doesn't come across as a lecture by the author, and there's still a lot of excitement.

Wonder if the blackhawk been through any interference, or attack where things are fried or why they said you might want to get a vaccine.

B) ...........I wonder if it was wise to expose the group to the media!! Too many people now the location of Eagle Rock.

Wow ! Each week a new chapter since chapter 3 :worship: . James, you are really a regular writer :D . "Warm" thanks for that.

And the construction of the story is amazing. The intensity is increasing, as in the world as in the surroundings with each chapter. The only one who stay calm is Tom. I wonder which weapon he will have to use first ? :great:

B) .............Now it's going to get hot for our young heros!

Chaos and anarchy came rather early in this quiet mountain area, I'm glad the rifle training is paying off! I wonder why China doesn't just go after Taiwan, they could easily do this, why risk attacking the United States? Hahaha! I noticed the Presidents name is very familiar sounding, President McMahan does have his hands full with China and North Korea, where is Russia in this mess? Great chapter James! The tension and tempo are perfect, I fear Sierra Hotel may have it's hands full and Eagle Rock will have to defend itself alone.

wow :worship: ! two stories in one :

The developement with the press about the Ross family, which leads us to some good and bad events in the future, and

The progress of the Ross kids in defending and fighting skills, in learning how to use their weapons and organising the defence.

A lot of informations for the reader in a few phrases ! And inside, a short story of the past to illustrate the strong character of Tom.

Well written James. Just a point : sorry that this chapter is so short  .

And thanks to keep you weakly rhythm :D .

B) ...............Great chapter!! Tom is very capable of handling a few bikers! I was surprised they devised a napalm bomb test, considering how long it burns and the proximity to trees, they could have started a forest fire. I fear the boys will still have to do some shooting, good thing Tom decided to go 24/7 watch on the radio, I hope they have early warning detection set up also?

No news is sometimes the best news, but advertising the boys location is bad news. I would hope the reporters would see the sense in that, but reporters don't usually have that kind of common sense.

I think the Chinese are sending out a wild goose chase, it doesn't make sense for them to try to attack the US. They must know the that the Navy has them under observation! Great Chapter James!! Looking forward to more.

B) ..............Twilight Chapter 9 by James Savik is up in AWESOME

B) ..........Humm, things are really heating up!

I think North Korea is going to get one hell of a surprise and will be taken out in a quick strike. Will history repeat itself like 50 plus years ago? I wonder if China will forgo it's attempt at getting Taiwan and try to rescue the north again? Back to Eagle Rock; I think the boys placement of the napalm bombs are to closely set. If the 'test' blast took out a 2-foot round pine tree 30 feet away won't one detonation blast all of the bombs at once?

Great chapter James, things are definately heating up, I hope the 'guard duty' at the midnight to morning shift is on his toes.

I have to agree with Benji about the risk of blasting. You should take care of his comments. If I remember well, he is a specialist and has his own experiences about bombs and other things alike  .

BTW I also agree with his remark about the "Great" chapter. And I like very much the cliffhangers at the end :worship: .

Great chapter James! I love all the plot threads you've got going and they're taxing my small brain trying to figure out how the story is going to play out in a way that will tie all the threads together.

Love that you're posting each week too!
