old bob Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 As usual, nice chapter and a good mix between fiction and "real politik". What I find funny is the fact that US and Russia are "working together". Maybe James is a prophet or a augur and the future will show us that he was right. BTW, could Brad be gay ? Could it be the answer to a former pool ?

Drewbie Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 Agrees Benji, And Mp's should let Tom and the gang to help.
Site Moderator TalonRider Posted August 24, 2009 Site Moderator Posted August 24, 2009 Apparently, the CO doesn't know how helpful the guys can be.
JamesSavik Posted August 28, 2009 Posted August 28, 2009 Notice: from now until the end of Twilight, I am moving to a chapter every 2 weeks. I've got too much going on and I want to get it right.
JamesSavik Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 As usual, nice chapter and a good mix between fiction and "real politik". What I find funny is the fact that US and Russia are "working together". Maybe James is a prophet or a augur and the future will show us that he was right. BTW, could Brad be gay ? Could it be the answer to a former pool ? China wants big parts of Siberia and have Chinese names for towns and geographical features on their maps. Recent surveys have shown that Siberia is rich in mineral resources and oil has even been found there. It is in a boom situation now with wildcat miners and drilling. Some people have compared it in mineral wealth to a dozen Alaska's. The most serious obstacle to development are perma-frost and some of the severest winters on the planet. It's a bit like German maps of France printed in the thirties with German names for the cities. The area is so remote and undeveloped that Russia would have serious difficulties moving in troops/tanks/supplies in any numbers. The Chinese could go 1500 kilometers before they would run into any serious opposition. The only thing that has kept China from moving on Siberia is Russia's overwhelming nuclear forces.
Drewbie Posted September 6, 2009 Posted September 6, 2009 Maybe Connor will have some interaction more and more in as times goes on. Tom is quickly becoming on of my favorites. I look forward to the next one in the next two weeks So far, only matter of time where China will have no weapons rate they are being bombed.
Site Moderator TalonRider Posted September 6, 2009 Site Moderator Posted September 6, 2009 At least the camp C.O. didn't turn out to be the butthead I thought he was going to be.
Conner Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 hehehe There's a Conner in the story. He's a punk with a rich boy attitude. I can play that! Mind you, we may not get to see that part of him. He's arrived at Tom's place with his hat in his hand. Hopefully he'll pitch in and help Tom and the guys support the hospital. Learn some teamwork and a little selflessness. You know, that character building stuff. :2hands: Just loved the nickname for Tom - Prodigy His bro's nickname is Shrapnel.

The only thing that has kept China from moving on Siberia is Russia's overwhelming nuclear forces. ................China is trying to do this to obtain Siberia? Not the brightest fortune read from a cookie! Although it now appears that other forces were at work in bringing to bring down the hierarchy of China's leaders. The exact location of the huddled leaders in the fortified bunker given to the US by the KGB. The fact that several elements of the military are in the dark as to what is going on, while others are foolhardily pressed into action. Russia is playing the gambit, hoping the US bites at the move. Great chapter James, looking forward to more!!
JamesSavik Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 chapter 19 is up at Deweywriter.com should be up soon at awesomedude
Benji Posted September 22, 2009 Author Posted September 22, 2009 chapter 19 is up at Deweywriter.com should be up soon at awesomedude ...........Long awaited chapter!! I'm somewhat confused though, did the Sea Dragon substaiin a hit? I wonder what secret the Chinese have held under their sleeve. North Korea is gone, the war is almost over. Now, the bikers families are going to sue?? Hahahaha!! Bring it on, perhaps invite the sue 'es (Is that a word?) to Phoenix to file the petition!! I wonder what the Governor has up his sleeve, perhaps invite all the 'injured parties and their lawyers' to a cocktail party!! News at 10!
JamesSavik Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 Twilight Chapter 20- Village of the Damned is well underway. I'm warning my readers now. It's going to be shocking and ugly. I suggest reading it while wearing a helmet.

Yea Good scene with Connor and Tom, losing parent and plus this whole situation is terrifying. I'd think it wouldn't' stick it's self defense plus I would think tom and his brother would have a gun license.
Site Moderator TalonRider Posted September 27, 2009 Site Moderator Posted September 27, 2009 I'd think it wouldn't' stick it's self defense plus I would think tom and his brother would have a gun license. I wouldn't think they would need permits to have guns on the property. As I see it, they beefed up the Security system on the property hoping they wouldn't have to use it.

As I see it, they beefed up the Security system on the property hoping they wouldn't have to use it. .............I agree with the guns, however there is this little problem with WOMD, the napalm bombs! I'm pretty damn sure you can't get a permit for that. But perhaps if the Military had claimed Eagle Rock as a base, there could be some room to manuvor.
Site Moderator TalonRider Posted September 30, 2009 Site Moderator Posted September 30, 2009 How about this. The monitor that was sit up by the boys and then put online, were those considered U.S. Gov. property? If so, then the moment they came online, Eagle Rock became a U.S. monitoring installation. And by that time, the Country was already under a state of emergency.
JamesSavik Posted September 30, 2009 Posted September 30, 2009 Post Columbine, Colorado passed some of the nations toughest laws concerning guns and minors. It was a knee jerk reaction to the event but the new laws still leave judges and prosecutors a great deal of discretion on how they would charge someone. Colo. Conner Posted October 4, 2009 Posted October 4, 2009 War and atrocities have always been good bedfellows. James, you struck an excellent balance in describing what had been going on at the camp without sending me wretching to the nearest flusher.
Nephylim Posted October 4, 2009 Posted October 4, 2009 hehehe There's a Conner in the story. He's a punk with a rich boy attitude. I can play that! Mind you, we may not get to see that part of him. Hey, I have a Conner in mine too... or is it a Connor? hmm can't actually remember now. But if you are anything like HIM I'll pay for your ticket over and then chain you to the bed for a month... not that I would have to
Nephylim Posted October 4, 2009 Posted October 4, 2009 I caught up with the rest of the story while I was at it. Chilling realism at its best. When terrible things happen ordinary people go on... and this is so real... so believeable that it is truly chilling. The characterisation is brilliant and the simple, matter of fact way that everything is presented is genius. Brilliant.
