"If it Fits" is winding down, with the last chapter due to be posted within the next twenty four hours. I'm already absorbed in "Master and Commander," the sequel to "The Wardroom." Somewhere in the future I'll be revisiting our CAP friends, and either the next story or the one after that will take us to 2001 and the horrible disaster that was 9/11. It seems to me that such a significant event would engulf their world, just as it engulfed ours, and it seems like one of the main characters of the story would be involved in the conflagration.

 

I wanted to give you all input into who should die, so vote and let me know.

It's your story, Mark, but why do any of them need to die? The events of 9/11 impacted us around the world without any us personally dying. To put it into context, around 0.001% of the USA population were killed in those attacks (if I've got my mathematics right). Have them affected, but do you really need one of them to be killed?

By the way, my mother celebrated her very big birthday just that day. When I first heard about the destruction, I had a fleeting thought about jubileum fireworks.... Of course it was at a moment when it was not yet possible to grasp properly what happened and where and what it meant. It just felt something like some rockets or whatever, at first glimpse/ hearsay.

Well I've gotten a lot of feedback at my group on this, so I'll say here what I said there. I'm in brainstorming mode. This is a tough issue to deal with, kind of like AIDS was, so I just wanted input. I haven't even decided when the first story will start yet, and I certainly haven't decided if someone dies.

Bruno.

 

Having gone bankrupt in Chicago after the police cracked down on his club there, he goes to New York City to start again. He quickly meets a vulnerable young man, who works at Windows on the World. After spending the night f**king the boy and intending to just drop him off at the World Trade Center, he accepts the boy's invitation to go up and see the restaurant and the kitchen begin getting ready for the day.

My opinion is that Darius, who is attending sophomore year of college by 2001, should be going to school in New York City. It's an easy way to get them there.

JP and Stefan are in Washington. JP is speaking at the Pentagon about his experiences during the Russian revolution.

Some of the younger crew are meeting in New York for a party or shopping. They visit the WTC.

Some of those younger crew are coming in via flight 93.

 

Chaos ensues.

Actually, that's not why I like Robbie. There's only 4 things that should ever be in one's ass: fingers, tongues, sex toys, and penises. Then again, no character is perfect. :P

Well, the fingers are in there, but so is the rest of the hand. I don't care to be wearing Depends by the time I'm 50. :P
