LOL, I see you went for the digits in the dialogue with 'twelve-oh-five', haha--guess it's easier--still, from all I've read, it's more correct to write it out. :P

But, whatever. I'm being minxy.

Great chapter. :D Frustrating as help for the both of them, hehehe!

No actually I was wondering how that got in there too, as I THOUGHT I changed it - meh, there were more than few mistakes in this chapter, I don't know what happened. I did a few corrections but am not going to 'edit' it a third time today, maybe when I post the next chapter, or maybe not at all -_-

From the story: "During a waking moment, he heard Peter’s favorite REM song begin to play.

“I don’t care what you say, Jase . . . that’s REM’s best . . . song ever,” Peter whispered."

Okay, I've been racking my brains trying to guess which song would be Pete's favorite (which is no easy task, considering R.E.M. has an extensive catalog). I finally came up with my personal favorite, hope it's Pete's too. Disturbance At The Heron House off of the brilliant CD "Document".

Jason and Peter really are clearing the air in this latest chapter and it should strengthen their relationship in the future.

Oh, 12:05 is fine as far as I'm concerned. :P

Sorry Trevor, but Jason never said which song it was, but if i were to venture a guess, it would be either

a ) End of the World as We Know it

b ) Losing My Religion

c ) Shaking Through, or

d ) Shiny Happy People.

But then what do I know right??

One would think, right???

Chapter 37 is up - as promised. I am keeping to my twice a week posting as I have 3 and a half chapters left to complete. Some of the scenes have already been written, now just tying them together. Looks like it will be 48 in total.

Sappy as this is going to sound, I want to thank everyone for reading and all the reviews I have received. Those of you who write know what it feels like to see a new review posted or a new post was left on the forum. Those of you who are readers might not know just how special you make it for the writer, but speaking for myself it is really wonderful knowing that you are not only reading but you also took the time to let me know you are reading. I probably don't say it enough but thanks again for reading and for commenting.

I enjoyed chapter 37 Andy. It's good to see Peter improving physically and it's great that he seems to be in good spirits. I hope his impending financial problems won't become a source of friction with Jason again. I know Jason sill want to help and Peter will be reluctant at the very least.

@ andy,

true i wrote that review a LONG time back in my head! :P just didnt post it.. since u hadn't yet posted that chapter.. and just so u know, i write the reviews mostly as soon as i read them.. honestly NOT knowing what's coming next.. However, i try not to ask the too obvious questions that the other readers wud ask, since that wud make it really weird! lol (like whats gonna happen to peter!! actually i did ask that question.. just that i asked it before anyone else! lol ) :P

On another Note... Andy's Interview is posted on Phoenix's Blog..

People interested should well.. umm.. visit??!! :P

More problem's Mike? Whatever would give you the idea that there might be more issues? I won't go so far as to say it has to do with money - but then do I ever really say what I am really going to do next? [i learned that trick from Nephy, who is at the U.K. meet this weekend and probably won't see that I stole an arrow from her quiver :P ]

There are a few chapters left, some less angst filled than others. Am definitely interested to see how people feel when it is over. That is my inner angst.

Haha, well I haven't seen you give anything away so that wasn't my point, I just meant for once, you knew no more than anyone else when i posted a chapter. I think I might need to withhold the last chapter until just before I post it, just for fun :P.

As for the Interview, I would ask anyone who reads it to thank Phoenix for doing this. he said he does it to find out more about authors he wants to know more about, but it really is a good service he does for all of us. I have read them all and find them pretty interesting.

Can't figure this site out...argh! I can post a review directly at the story chapter on my iPad, but cannot do it in the forum. I have to write my note elsewhere, then copy/paste it in..

Anyway, nice to see Peter and Jason reconnecting though it sure seems as though $ will be rearing it's ugly head again when Jason likely tries to cover Peter's rent while he can teach...

Nevermind, found it. Just note though that if I do a search for your name in the Authors list or this title in the GA Stories, it doesn't appear to me for whatever reason. Only way I can find it is by going to the Most Reviewed List.

I was told to go into the "my settings" part of the website and disable the RTE editor so that I could post from my iPad. Hope it works for you!

Thanks for posting the link, Frosty, Those interviews are really interesting, especially when they're about authors I'm currently reading. I was thinking maybe there'd be clues as to the future of Second Shot in there, but no such luck :P

B)...............The problem of Peter's living arrangements seem to be clear here, move in with Jason and Darryl ... errr, that is with Jason's room! Problem solved!

The detective's questioning of Jason of the other event at the pool room, still nags me that they (cops) are not going to let this drop, even if Jason asked them too. The sutle way would be for the Frat house to dismiss all of those involved in the attack and confrontation, otherwise get sanctions from the beta kappa whatever!! 0:) But Andy claims that is not the way he intended this to go...... ;) ..... We will see!!! Great chapter good to see Peter getting well, hopefully it sounds like a full recovery in the near future.

HC,

That is odd. I was able to access it by searching - I typed in Seco and it appeared in the pick down menu. I went to Authors, searched for me, found me, clicked on me and the story was there. It was also on my stories list on my profile. Maybe it was a glitch that they fixed?? But thanks for the alert, I will keep tabs on it now.

Sara,

Have I ever done anything BUT try to misdirect things when speaking about the future of SS?? Did you really think I would give it up there? Now I MIGHT have left clues elsewhere on the web - as in not GA - but I wouldn't put much stock in that either.

Just a few more weeks and it will be over - then I can pester you about clues to Social Skills [sS II?] -_-

Wow - have I done a TERRIBLE job of conveying Peter's character - live in Jason and Darryl's place? Really???

As I have said else where, you have not seen the last of the dynamic duo of Belle and Dravek - and you may like them even less after their next appearance - I know the boy will.

And B-man, I NEVER said they won't be sanctioned, I just said I wasn't going to deal with it. If it was up to me - which it is not of course - forget the frat house, I would boot them all from school. Remember, Raymond Henry is Graydon's most well heeled Alumni. His grandson is now a student, his other grandson is being courted by the school soccer team. I would think the Univ would want to keep him as happy as they can given he is getting along in years and bequeaths are common in one's will - no??? Just sayin, it I were king [or queen] of their world. 0:)

I was just noticing the other day how many stories are currently being written that start with the letter S. A popular and worthy letter, if you ask me ;)

Ah, then maybe Jason should move in with Peter! Probably much cheaper to split that rent anyways. Jason can sublet his room w/ Darryl until Dean gets to college, then he can have it.

That is, if Jason can handle living on the "rough side" of town :P

I really love that you held us in suspense with Peter being in the coma for so many chapters (I think 5?), but I did have one problem with that. In some chapters a few months could go by, but in these 5 only 4 days passed. I completely understand that the choice is up to the author and that no "rule" has been broken or anything by manipulating how time passes, but I am curious as to why you didn't just make his coma last two months or something so to keep the pace (of the linear story time, your pacing with the story itself is perfect) similar throughout?

That might not make much since, but I'm not griping- just curious.

And this story makes me want a boyfriend pretty badly. Posted Image
