I am rather fond of all the characters in this one. and although the Richmonds do start of a real arses I assure you they do get a little better. In fact everyone gets sickeningly sweet and happy... haha. Did you really believe that.... just for a moment did you think that this was just going to be sweetness all the way with no flies in the ointment. Sucker if you did. Honestly Nephy? Nope.. didn't buy that!! not for a second! :P i do hope they get better!! (dont have to be all sweet and mushy! )
Benji Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 ......... Great chapter! We see Nick as being ashamed and Logan looking vindictive, I don't understand Ace's parents at all! What the hell are they thinking that led to the abuse of their blind son for all theses years. I was actually hoping Ace and Haze were in the room with the discussion downstairs (?) But it makes a great lead into the next chapter, somehow I get the idea if Logan tries anything on Haze he will feel the wrath of the student body once they learn of his actions against his brother, will he learn from the next discussion at Ace's place or suffer the consequences at school? I think he will not, and fall flat on his face for it, his parents will get a tongue lashings that they need, they are so wrong in their mode towards Ace. My anger here was that they were not going to let him attend the university, reminds me of the Grimm's fairy tale of Rapunzel. Nice touch Nephy!!!

The eyes are opened of Ace's family was moving. But still I suspect Logan to make some trouble for Haze in school, I do hope he can control his rage there. Logan is messing in a messy area here, without Nicks support he is going to look like a fool in front of his mates. So Haze will be outted, but with a lot of support behind him. The parents are still iffy to me, like protecting the family secret is so important to them for whatever reason. Great chapter, like I said a real 'eye-opener'.

They feel the responsibility of upholding their standing in the community and their reputation is everything. \They are very proud of Nick and Logan for their achievements but don't think Ace is capable of any. To be fair he was allowed to go out with his brothers but when he got hurt his mother decided it was too dangerous for him to go out. I think she really didn't mean to hurt him in any way and she relly thought she was protecting him. Isn't it great when you see people walking down the wrong track
Ara Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 I loved those 2 chapters, its nice to see some of Aces family actually getting into the 21st century unfortunately one of ems still stuck in the 12th. Still getting teased with the mysterious Tally and what connection he has to Hazes anger issues although there are hints about and it seems to be something quite tragic. And I still dont like Aces parents, ok they mellowed a touch but nowhere near the amount that they need to get in my good books, Nick has redeemed himself and Logan needs a beating overall tho Nephy keep em coming

The one at the beach is the second and we haven't go to the third yet. ANd oh yes... every moment with Ace is an experience and as for outings... whoo

It would be great if everyone gave her the praise she deserves for it. I love the whole 'feeling' of it... a reed bending in the wind, flowing and changing but never breaking. It was such a fun chapter. getting back at the life guard was hilarious... and the only thing that bothered me was Logan's presence.. BUT, well, thats the part of the story.. so.. and now Ace KNOWS HA HA!!! Fun chapter indeed!

I think has to tell someone of Logan's actions, Ace could have been seriously hurt at the pool! I think Logan's goal is to prove that Ace cannot take care of himself and Haze is unable to protect him. Ace's parents will basically lock Ace up again and Logan will think he has won his little victory. Haze needs to tell Logan's brother, Rowan and Ash, I think a confrontation at school could put Logan in a bad light with the students, it is pretty low-life to hurt a blind person, his reputation will suffer. Haze saw him in the changing room afterwards but there is absolutely nothing he can do to prove it was him who hurt Ace. Haze is going to keep a close eye on it but logan is a sneaky little sod.

But Stealth kitteh needs no proof and stealth kitteh will right this wrong as soon as i give her permission to launch Anyhow that was a most fun visit to the pool, the lifeguard was a muppet and needed to be put in his place plus it was good to see them have a mostly incident free fun packed day out
