My sister and brother knows. Brother because he borrowed my computer when he was visiting. I had given him fair warning he didn't want to snoop around. He doesn't care and I told my sister because I was planning on sending a few things to some publishers and shes great at that support stuff. Haha. Other than those two my childhood friend knows, she's also a author. So it turned out good.

My folks, both of my sisters, and my brother all know. My grandad knows. My partner Doug knows (of course!). My brother's boyfriend knows. Maybe a dozen personal friends know. All of my online friends know. ;)

I've told my bestfriend, and some friends and one of my exe's because he is an editor in a daily newspaper. But other than those, no. My mantra is, if they found out then good for them. But no one in my family knows... I'm too scared to see how they would pin out my writing style - they are simply too critical. Haha. They know me of being a technical writer, but not really on the aspects of writing stories. :D

They were and still are disgusted by it. Told me I couldn't do such things while living under their roof. They had also completely reformatted the PC. So I lost a lot of non-slashy stuff like music as well. To this day I dunno what exactly they'd found. my slashy fanfic or the yaoi (that a whole other thing. They despise that I love anime and they hate Japanese stuff).

That was my experience exactly. Then again, I was younger at the time. I just hid things from them and was lucky enough that they didn't go out of their way to find much of anything of mine. It was a waiting game until I could legally get out of the house.

I'm an adult now and my fiancee and I have a relationship based on full disclosure. Not that it was a problem - we shared interests from the time we met, anyway.

As a matter of fact, I have to give her infinite props; almost everything I put in writing goes by her first. None of my stuff would be nearly as rich or detailed without having had the chance to discuss it with her first. She plays devil's advocate and general encyclopedia of biology and science, and she makes sure that my world features a realistic range of characters. I would never have considered writing seriously or even semi-seriously without her unswerving support.

Everyone in my 'real' life knows that I write. However, none of them know that I read and write erotica. It's not that I'm ashamed for them to know, though. I just like having this part of my life to myself. If everyone around me knew everything about me, that would be boring and uneventful. :)

I never meant to tell my parents, they more checked my internet history the one time I forgot to erase it lol... My mom read some of them and praised me on my writing. Recently that website got closed down, so they can't read my stories unless they manage to steal my flashdrive out of my pocket of find my other websites. My mom doesn't understand why I write M/M, and wishes I would write something else, but it's not like she makes me change it. My dad just said as long as they are age appropiate and is glad I write so much (he thinks it helps my test scores lol). I try not to talk to my parents about my writing though, just because I don't want them asking to read.

My closest friend loves to read my stories and often begs to be put in as a supporting character. Some of my other friends (acquantances, really) know I write m/m as well, but don't read my stories and it's more of a don't ask don't tell kind of thing on it. There are one or two who constantly tease me that it's all pornographic, and I will say they have earned a fair share of bruises.

I did tell my gay friend about my writings, just told him about a few of them, but I didn't ask him to read any of them. I thought that would be kind of awkward lol

My whole family knows, including cousins, grandparents, and great-aunts and uncles. Whether I wanted them to or not, lol. When my first book got published, my mother had to tell everyone. She still does--tells complete strangers in the post office or grocery store. Not sure if she's really proud of me or trying to shame me into writing something "more respectable".

She was the only one that I was really nervous about outing my writing to. She's one of those right-wing, conservative Christian types, and as I was living at home at the time, it was a little tense for a while, but luckily she's also my best friend and (so far) always supports me even if she doesn't like or agree with what I'm doing.

Some friends and coworkers know, but not many, mainly because I'm not a real social person.
