The last 3 chapters were posted in 2012.  Therefore, Charlie remains eligible in the Best Promising Story category.

Best Hosted Story must have beem authored by a Hosted Author.  Best Promising Story must have been authored by a Promising Author.  Best GA Stories is for stories authored by all other authors here at GA - stories by Hosted or Promising Authors are not eligible for this category.

I went through all fourteen pages of authors and there were a lot of 'author author' 's out there. What category do they fall under? Would they just be under Best GA Stories?

I went through all fourteen pages of authors and there were a lot of 'author author' 's out there. What category do they fall under? Would they just be under Best GA Stories?

 

A New author is one who first posted a story here at GA in 2012.  The category, Best GA Stories by a New Author, is only open to stories written by a new author.

It is possible to nominate a story posted by a New author for both categories you mention in your post.

All stories posted in 2012 (in all or in part) by authors who are not Hosted or Promising are eligibe for nomination under Best GA Stories.
