Yeah... wrapping something around you a dozen times will do the trick. Lol My MIL has a habit of gifting me cold weather gear at Christmas every year. Now while I have no use for a scarf/knitted hat combo or a chenille poncho thing, you bet your butt I'm wearing the thick faux sheep's wool nonskid slipper socks she gave me last year! 2 1

Kitt Posted January 14 Posted January 14 We could do with a tad less rain around here. Just about every river in NJ is over flood stage. Most had just crested and barely started receeding after last Tuesday's 3+ inches and last night we got 2" more, so rivers are heading up again. My place is on a creek, but water would need to rise 40' to get to me. 3

Love my cabin socks! 2 layers, faux sheep fleece inside, knit outer with no slip stickies on the sole. 1 2
Popular Post Wayne Gray Posted January 14 Popular Post Posted January 14 Howdy, all. It's an interesting day. I'm trying to ride the line between being a pushy boyfriend and getting my BF to do the things he needs to do (grocery shopping, making meals for himself, etc). He suffers from anxiety and depression, and he's in a bit of a funk right now. He tells me he needs me to push him, but he doesn't want me to in the moment either. So ... we're compromising a little. I'm taking him shopping today, and we're making dinner together again tonight (we did last night too). Also, the weather is cycling between wind and rain, and sunny. I think it's just going to be a "we'll see how it goes" kind of day. But, I'm ready for that. 1 6 1

As he runs out of stuff or notices he's low on something, he's supposed to write it on the board for our shopping trip. I noticed today when I was over there that he's using it, so maybe it'll help. I'm just glad he's using it. Edited January 14 by Wayne Gray 2 6

There's always things you run out of and i say, oh we'll need to get more and forget by the time i make to a piece of paper...lol 2 3

I'm always forgetting to use it, but Hubby is good at using it. So we're always running out of things that I've used and not written on it. 3 1
Popular Post kbois Posted January 14 Popular Post Posted January 14 I keep a running list on my phone. Hubs will text me when he thinks of something to add. If I relied on a whiteboard, I'd forget it home every time. 😂 5 1

Popular Post Mikiesboy Posted January 15 Author Popular Post Posted January 15 We tried the app for our store. First you have to find your phone, which i don't carry around all the time. Then i need to sign into the app, then i have to open that section of the app and try to add what i want to which is a pain to do, and i'll have likely forgotten what i want by the time i get through all of that. LOL Much easier to pick up a pencil and write it down. With the whiteboard right there in the kitchen, i think we'll have an easier time. Then we can just take a pic of it or add things to the paper list. And @mollyhousemouseis right meal planning. Since i'm asked daily at least twice by each person in the house: What's for dinner? i can write that on the board too. That's my whiteboard reasoning. Amazon says it will be here today. i'm rubbing my hands together with glee and because it's like -4F outside and it's cold in here too. 1 1 4

Popular Post MichaelS36 Posted January 16 Popular Post Posted January 16 @Wayne Gray @mollyhousemouse @kbois @chris191070 you will be all happy to know that tim's whiteboard arrived and is currently in use. Who knew Grocery list recording was such a thing. Jokes aside, it's a good idea. I'm sure we'll use it. 1 8

Vacuums and mops at the same time...... yeah, it's the little things that makes us happy. 😆 4

Vacuuming used to be the one chore I hated the most, but not anymore. 1 3
Popular Post Kitt Posted January 16 Popular Post Posted January 16 Wait till you guys are over 60! The silliest things amuse me. There is a farm near my daughter's house that has emu. They make me think of giant walking feather dusters! Think Plumette from Beauty & The Beast. Wings will regularly take that road even tho it's a bit out of the way, just to make me smile. 6 1
