Not to say that they are better (because that would be a bit like comparing apples and pears), but I can think of other smells that (to me, at least) are at least as good... Like, for instance, freshly roasted coffee beans, newly cut grass, the scent of freesia flowers, and grilled bacon, to name just a few. 7

Spent most of the day pottering about the "new" house, doing a few jobs inside (as the weather was far too wet for outside work). Have to head out in less than an hour for some voluntary work I'll be involved with this evening. Left it a bit too late to cook a full meal, so I made myself a quick snack to keep me going. Toast covered with a small layer of mustard and thyme, then sliced tomato sprinkled with chopped coriander leaf, all covered with thinly sliced vintage cheddar with freshly ground black pepper added before putting back under the grill for two minutes, and then freshly cut rosemary sprinkled on top. Yummy! And it will certainly keep the wolf from the door until I get home in about 5 hours time. The wolf hates coriander leaf. It tastes like soap. Blech. I suspect different people's reaction to marmite may have a similar genetic link... 2 7
