That’s so cheap, not the actual guy but the fine is a fifth of what we are fining people here. A young woman was fined $1200 for doing her driving training, deemed to be non essential.

Here you can be fined $2000.  Not sure if anyone's been actually fined, although I do know they've broken up some gatherings and taken away the liquor licences of two establishments that allowed large gatherings after being ordered not to.

According to the Farmers' Almanac it is a PA Dutch thing.

If you check the table on this website, you will see that the total number of confirmed cases per million of population in the USA compares fairly favourable with the rest of the world.

The figure for the USA is 1,397

The figure for the UK is 959

The figure for Germany is 1,394

The figure for Spain is 3,261

And for Ireland it's 1,331

It's bad - but it could be a hell of a lot worse.
