Our local military did a fly-over of our local hospitals to honor front-line workers.  I was able to see them from my front lawn.  Very cool to see and hear the jets.  It was also neat to see my neighbors come out of their houses to watch and the people along the rails to trails path stop and look.

Shredded  and shaved are not the same. Shaved are thinly sliced while shredded are julienned or matchstick.

The colour was awesome, they leaked purple on the cutting board. Purple Cosmos I think they were called.

The bad news is they are on my shopping list

Morgan and I are doing well. I made a rolled omelet with bacon, Gruyere, and caramelized onions for dinner.

I had baked potatoes, chopped up and mixed with a nob of butter and 2 diced hard boiled eggs, along with a chopped up tomato, with grated cheddar on top and half a tin of baked beans.

And a slice of my banana bread for afters.

Filled me up, and didn't need any fancy recipe.

Nothing shaved, madolined, shredded,  julienned or matchsticked.  

Oh! And the potatoes were white, not purple

(Not that I'm in any way colour prejudiced.)

Anyway... Val will be happy. There were no tiny puke balls or any devilish fungi in my meal this time.

You can eat as many puke spheres and fungus as you want.  I'll stick to shaved cruciferous vegetables
