Popular Post dughlas Posted August 16, 2020 Popular Post Posted August 16, 2020 G'day y'all. It's a fine soft day here. Gentle rain has been falling through much of the night and morning though the forecast says it should end later. Temp is decidely cooler, 68/20° at the moment and not expected to warm beyond mid-70's/23°. 1 6

Not as sunny as yesterday, and showers promised for the evening. The next couple of days are promised to be similar. I must see if I can lift that second row of early potatoes before the showers do come. Interesting to see you using the adjective 'soft' to describe the day, bro. That's exactly the same term used here in Ireland to describe a warm day with light showers/rain. Mind you, we would only say its a fine day if it wasn't raining at all. Happy Sunday, everyone! 3 4

Popular Post clochette Posted August 16, 2020 Popular Post Posted August 16, 2020 (edited) It's a nice afternoon here with 25°C though we had a big shower late morning. I went to IKEA with my lil bro. He makes me laugh. He moved in last year in this tiny apartment where he can't really host and he doesn't have a real dinner table so for him alone he had bought a small round table like those you put at the side of the couch to put the TV remotes on it to put his plate on when he eats on the couch in front of the TV. But now that he has a girlfriend he bought a bigger coffee table with foldable sides so they can both eat in front of the tv He also bought me a plant, a bright red anthurium, as the aloe he had bought me last year died during lockdown. We had lunch in a nice italian place where we had pizzas. Happy Sunday y'all Edited August 16, 2020 by clochette 7

Bucket1 Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 Wet and miserable start to the day but I had brunch with an old friend so that made up for the weather. We caught up on all the gossip and she reminded me that we said we were going to better at catching up. Her daughter reminded her that was our New Years resolution 1 4

Got into the habit of using "soft" to describe this sort of day from using it at faire. The "fine" got tacked on because I would also suggest it as a fine time for a last thorough washing before cooler weather set in, particularly since a couple of shops on grounds sold handmade soaps. 4
