With the heatwave last week they're about a month earlier than usual but with the upcoming rain tomorrow it was just about time to pick them up.

Is Storm Ellen heading your way, as well? (Although it may have a different name in Europe :unsure2:)

My friend Steve in England is getting rain:yes: Singing In The Rain Smiley

Yup! That's definitely Storm Ellen.

Storm Ellen, which contains remnants of Tropical Storm Kyle, will bring heavy gales as it hits Ireland before dominating Britain for the remainder of the week. The storm will likely hit the West Country hardest before sweeping across the south of England and the Midlands. The Met Office has issued warnings for torrential downpours and mighty winds which will come in force at 8pm tonight and last until 11.59pm on Thursday as 70mph winds are expected to batter the coastline.

That looks like a "thylacine" (Thylacinus cynocephalus) - commonly known as the Tasmanian tiger or the Tasmanian wolf. It's actually extinct now

During WWII, two of Hitler's scientists attempted to use eugenics to "breed back" several extinct Prehistoric species, such as the aurochs, an ancestor of modern cattle. It was roughly the size of an elephant. They actually came close to succeeding, but after the fall of the German Empire, the program died out. Without caretakers, their specimens likely died, too. How cool would it be to recreate Thylacines as a living species.

Various attempts have been made since 1999 to clone thylacines using genetic material from specimens taken and preserved in the early 20th century in order to restore the species from extinction.
