Sherye Story Reader Posted December 8, 2020 Posted December 8, 2020 I hate when my stepson's wife comes in here and accuses her husband of doing stuff he wasn't doing. He has been working on their friend's car all night and it is still not fixed cause the friend does not want to spend money on a new alternator. Their friend is lazy when it comes to work and my stepson was trying to help to get him back home. She thinks he is doing other things. She wants him right under her thumb but he wants to make money on jobs but if she wants him home with her all the time then he can't make money and to me if she can't trust him then their marriage is doomed from the start! None of them even listen to me at all! Tired of all the bickering! 4
Popular Post Marty Posted December 8, 2020 Popular Post Posted December 8, 2020 (edited) I see we're on page 1953.... I remember the year 1953. It was the year sugar rationing finally ended in England, which meant I didn't have to bring the family's ration book with me each week when I went to the corner shop to buy two ounces of boiled sweets with the thruppenny bit I got as my weekly pocket money. Source: February 5, 1953: Children rejoice as sweet rationing ends in Britain. Rationing had been introduced early in the Second World War, initially for petrol, but rationing of food soon followed in January 1940, with bacon, butter and sugar the first items to be limited. Sherye Story Reader Posted December 8, 2020 Posted December 8, 2020 Does anyone have a remedy for a grouchy old lady? I need one for my sister! Oh, wait, there might not be a cure for her since she has been that way all her life. I would greet our parents friends with a big grin and open arms but my sister would greet them by crawling to them and biting their ankles or leg. And that was when she was learning to crawl! lol or is a 😬 5

I should have said 7 years. WOW, I just thought of something! You were born the same year my big brother was born. RIP Sammy since 2010! I miss that old fart for the last 10 years! 4 2

I am more friendly than she is, I don't go post things on social media that would hurt friends or family (she has), I can talk to people with ways that makes them feel wanted (she talks to people like she knows it all and they don't) and so tell me who is the people person? Her or I? lol 2
Sherye Story Reader Posted December 8, 2020 Posted December 8, 2020 I can talk trash on here about my sister as much as I want but if I hear someone in person trash her then I will defend her! I really do love my little sister even though she is 100 lbs heavier than I am! 1 2
Sherye Story Reader Posted December 8, 2020 Posted December 8, 2020 Now I know I am getting senile when I forget who ought a grocery store that my mom and I moved into a year before she passed away. My sister had to correct my mistake! Geeze and my sister started forgetting stuff before I did and she is 2 years younger than me. Then now I start doing the forgetting! For goodness sake, those people are my nephew's family on his dad's side and I should have known who each of them are! I have known them all since the late 70's! I need to take a pill for forgetting to remember but I might even forget to take the pill too! lol The reason I thought all this was because my nephew's uncle (his dad's brother) passed away this morning! RIP Jerry Hall! 4

Mum talks about the rationing and how neighbors might trade one type of coupon for another, i.e., sugar for flour or butter. She also remembers the little packet of yellow dye that came with margarine so you could color the white margarine yellow to look like butter. I was not even "a gleam in my father's eye" in 1953. 1 1 4 1
