Popular Post Marty Posted December 24, 2020 Popular Post Posted December 24, 2020 (edited) Something I forgot to mention when we were on page 1.994.... 1994 was the year I bought my first Windows based computer. A second-hand 486, with a processor speed of 100 MHz (if I remember correctly), Windows 3, a 170 MB hard drive, and a whopping whole 4 megabytes of RAM! It also has a 3 1/2 inch floppy drive, but no optical drive or soundcard. Edited December 24, 2020 by Marty Tidying up 5 2

Site Administrator Popular Post Valkyrie Posted December 24, 2020 Site Administrator Popular Post Posted December 24, 2020 Well I didn't get as much done today as I had hoped, but I managed to make the soup for tonight's dinner without burning it this time I got a little bit of housecleaning done for tomorrow, but I had an IBS attack today so spent more time resting than I wanted to. Oh well...the house will be tidy enough after I run a vacuum through it. I'll take a shower in a bit, then head over to my mom's for the rest of the day. I should be home before it starts snowing. It wouldn't be 2020 without throwing in a nice lake effect snow storm on Christmas. 6 1

Popular Post Headstall Posted December 24, 2020 Popular Post Posted December 24, 2020 Well... I've had my Christmas dinner. It was very tasty... and filling. I packed up my son's meals in an aluminum foil roasting pan, and now I'm letting it cool down before I put the lid on. Same with the gravy. There should be enough food for three heaping plates for him and one for his girlfriend. I have a hell of a mess to clean up, but I'm resting at the moment... or is that digesting at the moment? Merry Christmas to me. 9

Mum and I were planning to attend Christmas Eve Service but we're both very tired and the weather has turned nasty. Instead, we'll stay home and enjoy a quiet evening. I'm making crabcakes, roasted sweet potatoes and asparagus for dinner. Later I'll find a Service of Scripture and Carols from one of the universities in the UK. I have a batch of Chex mix in the oven to provide snackies over the holiday. Tomorrow morning I'll make our traditional frittata for brekkie. Later in the day we'll go next door for a cold buffet. I envy you the tamales. The kilt shop has a friend who makes homemade tamales for us one weekend each season. They're wonderful. 8
