Popular Post Marty Posted December 25, 2020 Popular Post Posted December 25, 2020 (edited) I'm now home, after a wonderful Christmas dinner with friends. Turkey, ham, and all the trimmings! (I don't think I'll need food for another 24 hours...). Before I left my friend's house my nephew initiated a video chat from his sister's house in England. That lasted around a hour, and it was great to at least chat and to see some of my extended family. My niece has four young children (the youngest members of my extended family), and I really enjoyed chatting to them, even though they were that hyper and noisy that at times I found it difficult to actually understand what they were saying! My sister, whose grandchildren they are, later sent me a photograph of the four of them (all wearing matching "Cosy Crew" tops) that she took after the video chat ended, where they almost look like normal human beings! There's a copy of it in spoiler tags below, but I would request that you delete it from any replies you may make to this post (I shall also be deleting it myself by the end of tomorrow). Spoiler [EDIT] Image deleted for privacy reasons. [/EDIT] That video chat really made my Christmas day all that more special this year. It's now 11:00pm, so I'm going to make myself a mug of cocoa and settle down to watch The Muppet Christmas Carol before heading to bed (I'm almost embarrassed to admit I've never seen it before). It was as cold as 34/1° but with the wind feels much colder. Cold enough to snow. Fortunately all the heavy rain happened yesterday. Saddly, the sudden change in weather is playing havoc with my head. Still, we had our brekkie frittata and opened prezzies. Now we're relaxing and reading before going next door for a late holiday lunch. It was only 35C Christmas Day and a much cooler 27C today 1 1 3

Popular Post dughlas Posted December 26, 2020 Popular Post Posted December 26, 2020 G'day y'all on this cold Second Christmas (an Amish tradtion) or Boxing Day or St. Stephen's Day or the day of recovery from over indulgence. It is currently 26/-3° here in our part of coastal SC but the wind is making it feel colder. While it may not have been the Christmas of your dreams I hope you all found some peace and joy in the day. Blessed be y'all 'cause Christmas has just begun it ain't over until Epiphany on January 6th. 7
