Headstall Posted September 8, 2021 Posted September 8, 2021 Today has been a gorgeous day. We had a lot of rain last night, but it's been sunny all day. My lawn and paddock are getting long, but I don't care. I went for a walk with Cookie. 3 2
Headstall Posted September 8, 2021 Posted September 8, 2021 I had grilled steak with onions, peppers from my own garden, and zucchini. Had a side of asparagus and some oven baked seasoned fries. I'm stuffed. 5

Hasn't quite passed yet this morning but we're forecast for nice weather through the weekend. 4
Bucket1 Posted September 9, 2021 Posted September 9, 2021 One of the women at working is leaving for a new job. We had some drinks this afternoon, a little bit sad, a little bit of celebration. It was a good opportunity to chat with some folk from the other areas who I haven’t seen in a while. Catch up on the gossip 2 2

Headstall Posted September 9, 2021 Posted September 9, 2021 On my way to my cardiologist soon. Just some simple tests, and I'm going to be wearing a Holter monitor until Sunday. 3 2
dughlas Posted September 9, 2021 Posted September 9, 2021 Still waiting for the front to clear. It has turned into a cool, damp overcast doldrums sort of day. Oh, and surprise my head aches. We had heavy enough rains last night combined with ground still saturated from last week's remnants from TS Ida to cause some minor river flooding. The local farmers have begun cutting corn for silage. In some areas whole fields have disappeared, in others the outer rows are gone and swaths have been cut to open up the fields to dry before harvesting. 3 1

I expect it will rain again, but who knows. This has been the rainiest, yet hottest spring/summer in memory. It's weird. Mosquito season usually only lasts until mid June here... this year it went to August. Finally have cooler nights now, and that's a nice change. 5
