I hope it is a short one.  I googled Night of a Thousand Candles to see what it looks like.  I love walking in a garden decorated with Christmas lights, so to me it was amazing.  In Portland, we had The Grotto that was lit up at Christmas. The Grotto is a Catholic outdoor shrine with a 65 acre garden. I hope your day gets better.

Greetings Terry. I have lived with chronic migraine for the majority of my adult life so have adjusted. The current one has eased overnight, thanks.

Brookgreen Gardens is lovely being both a horticultural and sculpture garden. There are a number of individual areas each lit differently. The most striking to me is the Avenue of Oaks, a promenade lined by enormous live oak trees. For NoTC they hang hundreds of strings of white lights that cascade from the overarching branches 100+ feet to the ground. I will see if I can find a picture.

Happy New Year All!  I am having a small group of friend over for drinks and fireworks.  Chiang Mai has three New Year celebrations. Western, Chinese and Thai.  The best fireworks are for the Western New Year, because by the Chinese and Thai celebrations are at the driest times of the year.  Too much danger for fires starting.  I hope you all have a great year next year. Healthy, happy and prosperous.
