You were the one rewriting history and trying to gaslight everyone. Our protestations are not bullying. Plus I’ll always be proud of “Drewth.” How did that description of your BS evade us for like 7 years? 6

You know how sometimes in life you take one step and the next thing you it seems you gone steps back? Well today was abit like that. My bp readings yesterday were excellent. Today they were higher, not as much as previously but not where they should be. I'm also experiencing more aching around major joints, hips, knees, etc. Likely connective tissue stress by the cramping make known their complaints now that most of the spasms and cramps have stopped. So not not quite two steps back but not where I was yesterday. I do very much appreciate your asking. Thank you. Hello to Steve. 1 4 1

Some of the costumes now look like came out special effects. I think the year I was about Max's age I wore a black turtle neck, black dancer's tights (do not ask where in 1970, an 11 yearold boy in small town USA got dancer's tights that fit), a black full bag hood (covered my whole head) so I was covered head to toe in black. You couldn't see my face. To finish the look I covered it with an international orange rain ponch with the hood up of course. I looked like an orange spectre floating along the street. As long as I kept my mouth shut no one knew who I was. We only trick or treated on our one block street. There where ~80 kids in the appropriate age group. Add in the teens and there were 100 of us kids. It was also a narrow well traveled street because it was a quick short cut between two larger streets. As a safety precaution the parents got together and made a rule that the kids on the north side stayed in their side and played with the kids there and those if us on the south stayed put and played there. We did manage to event a couple of "games" we could play together with crossing. They'd make absolutely no sense if tried explaing. So lucky you, I shan't. The only times we crossed over was to get to an open space that was part of the cemetery belonging to the nearby church. It was where we played baseball, etc., there were no graves in the ball field, and went sledding in the winter, there at the top of the hill start we were just among a few tombstones. I don't think those in the ground beneath were too much disturbed by our childish laughter and play. That hill was on of two prime sledding hills in town. Kids came from all around to sled. We sled all day have our dinner and go out again to sled under the stars until forced inside for baths and bed. The other "legal" time for crossing was Halloween. Ohhh! What was meant as a quick reply became a rambling reminiscence. Thank you Page for the chance to remember, the are a few others here that will know a gift that can be. Blessed be my brothers and sisters. 1 5

Blessed be my brothers and sisters. I loved your rambling reminiscence, dugh. It brought back memories of happy times in a neighborhood when we lived in Nashwaksis, New Brunswick... playing ball, hide and seek, sledding... and Halloween. It was a fantastic group of kids (youths) I could only watch the first year because I had Hepatitis A, which I had a relapse for, and was housebound. I made up for it that following summer and winter. 1 5

Yep, it has become more popular (from a very very small base) but I think there are more Halloween parties than there are kids roaming the streets 2 2
