Was visiting Ireland with my friend who's half Irish, to see her dad and grandparents and things. We went to a few different places. I liked Dublin a lot. We went there with her aunt 3 hours ago, Dmrman said: Thanks, TW we are now preparing for another storm blast... hope everything is fine with you and your day too..!! Hi, Bob! Hope the new storm isn't too bad. I'm good, just got back from IKEA with some stuff we needed. Clothes drying rack, bread knife, french press, a few odds and ends that we no longer had because they belonged to my former flatmate. 2 hours ago, Headstall said: Hi, Thorn. It's a beautiful day here... no wind... and lots of sunshine. I was able to turn my mare out this morning. I love watching here trot across the paddock as if she's never been in it before, snorting and spinning. She might be almost 26, but she still looks like a filly. Hi, Gary! Aww... I love horses. Always wanted to learn how to ride. When I was eight my dad took me to a riding school to try it out and look into maybe getting me riding lessons, but somehow I managed to embarrass him by saying something that may or may not have insulted the riding teacher, and my dad did not take kindly to being embarrassed, so he never took me back. So no riding lessons for me. 1 hour ago, clochette said: Good day gang Another sunny and warm - kind of hot even - day with 20℃. I was stun when I took my car that was park in the sun in front of the house at 3pm and it said 25℃! It feels so good! Hope you're all enjoying your day Hi, Clo! We had 7℃ here today. Warmest it's been in a while. Now the sun's gone down, though, so it's getting colder. Had a gorgeous sunset on the way home from IKEA. 5 1 1

The last couple of weeks have been exceptionally warm and sunny. 5

The only real difference was the sunnier weather and the darker skinned population. I've heard Spain and India have similar customs. "Clicking" !! ?? Heathen! I don't go out "clicking" with my camera. I go out chasing light with it. Unfortunately today the sky was too clear overhead, with no clouds to be illuminated by the setting sun (and their colours to be reflected by the lake water), and there was a solid bank of cloud on the horizon stopping the actual sunset itself from really being visible on the mountain tops. I'll check the photos on the large screen of my desktop PC later. One or two of them might just be worth keeping... Not to worry. There'll be other days. And at least I got out of the house for a while. I'll get back to the story I was reading after I've prepared and eaten dinner. Have an appointment tomorrow morning at the doctor's for blood samples to be taken. Have to fast for at least thirteen hours before he takes the samples, so better eat soon... Wouldn't want to spend too much time there, though. It's just too big and busy for my liking. When I do visit I'm always happy to leave again to get back to the slower pace of life of where I am living nowadays. I feel more in tune with the natural world with the mountains and the lakes around me. Edited February 26, 2019 by Marty Correcting another of my inevitable typos. 4 4

Often, in Ireland a poster for an event will have something like "Starting at 8 p.m. sharp" written on it. Everyone knows that that means they'll be early enough if they get there by about 8:45 ... 3 5

I live just a few blocks from the city center, but with only 15,000 people in this town, we get to spread out a bit more. The house has a fairly big yard. Once the weather warms up and the ground thaws, I'm having a tree house installed for my kid brother-in-law. 5

I quite like cities, personally, as long as they're not, you know, enormous. I'd never want to live in, say, London, as much as I like to visit. 7 1

Drinks, sauces, bread, or something else? 3

And you do realise you have now interrupted my binge read by making me switch tabs to read your reply...? I've actually been thinking of purchasing a decent, simple camera. All I have is the one on my phone, a Galaxy S3, which is seriously outdated. I bought my daughter the camera she uses the most, back when she was in college... if memory serves me, it's a Canon Rebel XS something... I remember researching one Christmas, and deciding on it, along with a macro lens... It came with two others, I think... anyway, I'm always walking, and I live in beautiful countryside... maybe I can chase some light. 5 1
