Oh, I've been drafting a new story. A young English man travels to the Scottish islands of Hebrides, and becomes the navigator for an air mail service. He slowly starts falling in love with his colleague, who's the pilot. 

Also, Colton discovered that he likes baking more than cooking, though he's learned a few recipes for preparing meals, too.

Max is actually Level 3: he's able to cook independently, without his dads hovering over his shoulder; but, he's NOT allowed to cook without at least one adult in the house.
