It was in the 50s today, but overcast.  At least it hasn't rained like they predicted.  Tomorrow, we're going to be reminded that March is still in full-on lion mode and spring is just a suggestion.  Temps are supposed to drop overnight, bringing high winds and snow.  Several inches of accumulation are predicted with a potentially nasty afternoon commute.  Same thing for Monday.  Bleh.

I'm taking Cookie to the vet on Saturday for a physical, her shots, heartworm-flea-and tick protection, and to book her spaying appointment. She's in her first season now, so I'll have to wait at least two months before they can do it... maybe longer. It's the last place I saw Mallory alive....

Hey, Val.   I just came in with Cookie, and it feels really mild... milder than this afternoon... which was good because my head cold is not liking cold air.

It’s very late in the year so I think is part of why some are unprepared. It looks like it’s heading right in the middle of two major towns. The good news is that they build the houses to a higher standard up north - not cyclone prof but certainly cyclone resistant.

Its not that unusual as there are a few mining communities up there. They like to get the isolated people to safer ground
